video that was shared on Facebook this past May 16 showing a younger couple mercilessly beating on an older man is inciting anger and disgust among the public.

A Facebook user identified only as 'J' uploaded this graphic video which has since gone viral on various social media channels such as YouTube.

In said video, a young couple is seen forcibly dragging an older man by his collar out of a restaurant. The man and the woman, suspected to be the younger man's wife, start beating ruthlessly on the defenseless old man.

The couple spit all sorts of crass expletives at the man as they beat on him, and the old man just lies motionless on the ground, shocked into fainting.  It was reported as if the older man, the victim in this case, was the father of the younger man, but this cannot be confirmed as of now.

'J', the person who shared the video, urged, "On Parents' Day (holiday in South Korea which was observed on May 8 this year) the son and his wife came over here in a taxi and started beating a man who was drinking in the restaurant. Please help us catch them."

In Korea, you get hate if you don't know the name of a ancient history, but if you beat up an old drunk man you have an army of people defending you... Yes dude... gotta find the logic in Koreans... not for me thanks... creepy

uhhhhh.... i'm still waiting for the merciless beating.... and this was not a young couple.  the ladies voice makes her sound like 40-50yrs~  and from what she is saying... this is not a random beating... SOMETHING happened, this old man DID something... i want to here their side of this story~~  oh btw this article was very irresponsibly written.

The woman is cursing at the man, "bastard, f*ck. I hope you get what you deserve bastard. Are you even human?" My guess is that the "couple" is mother and son and they're angry at the man, probably the father, for spending money he wasn't supposed to touch on drinks. This could be completely false seeing that the "son" is walking nonchalantly after pushing his "father" to the ground saying, "yah, because of you my shoe is broken"(or something like that). He wouldn't be walking and talking so casually if he was genuinely angry at his "father".

A lot of people commenting "Why is the person recording not helping?"This is what I thought.1. This video might be fake. They might be looking for some fame. (which I think isn't likely)2. The person recording is one of their family members or friends that they have asked to record (which isn't very likely imo)3. Have you guys watched these kinds of viral videos? The person who is recording and the pedestrians would never even bother to help, and only watch or record the scene and share it to social media. (This is what I think the case is)

there 3 scenerio coming up in my head.1) that old man did something wrong that they did this ( which I don't really think so by the way they opened her pocket ) 2) they are robbers and is robbing them. 3) those couple are his jobless son and his wife  who he refused to give money too and they end up beating him up for refusing to help them

Hurhurhur Sophia_Sone4ever Wednesday, May 18, 2016

or maybe it's just korean young people being stereotypical korean young people and being dicks

Sophia_Sone4ever Hurhurhur Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Why are you even a kpop fan if you are that stereotypical toward Korean people ?

Hurhurhur Sophia_Sone4ever Wednesday, May 18, 2016

I am a korean person. I've lived in korea. lmao maybe its because you've never met korean-korean younger people?(Not korean-americans, actual koreans)

Sophia_Sone4ever Hurhurhur Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Then why are attacking your own people like. You are judging the whole country and even bashing yourself with that comment lol

It wasn't severe-looking, but the video was cut off. Who knows what happened after that. They could have really injured him. But then again, we don't know the full story. For all we know, that man could've done something really horrible. Maybe the couple didn't actually assault him like this article exaggerates. The video only shows them pulling him out and pushing him on the ground, and then taking something out of his pocket. Idk it's tough to say. I'm on no one's side. Idk which idiot decided to film and put it on the internet either. Whoever was filming could have prevented the problem instead of standing there and filming.

BornEpik lovegirlgroups Wednesday, May 18, 2016

I agree! And hopefully the person filming helped resolve the situation after it was cut off because it seemed like they started to say something.

Rebel_Patriot Wednesday, May 18, 2016

"J"ackass sat on his ass and just filmed as the man was being assaulted... no intervention. The two beating the man are filthy subhumans, the cowardly shithead filming is no better.

adzzlie Rebel_Patriot Wednesday, May 18, 2016

All of those viral videos usually consist of ONLY the bullies, the victim, the person who records, and bypassing pedestrians.

Rebel_Patriot adzzlie Thursday, May 19, 2016

True, and sadly so... people have no concept of their duties and responsibilities as citizens anymore. I couldn't just stand there. If someone was being brutally assaulted right in front of my eyes, my phone only comes out to call the police (or better yet I'd tell one of the useless shitheads standing around to do so) then immediately I am intervening to prevent further injury or death to the victim with whatever level of force is necessary and appropriate to the situation (from verbal all the way up to firearm). To just sit there and film is disgraceful. And don't get me started on worthless cowardly bystanders.

kaaylagirl Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Oh look! The results of westernization is really showing itself now.

Rebel_Patriot kaaylagirl Wednesday, May 18, 2016

Nice try moron... this is intolerable anywhere... but in Korea rape and child molestation is a minor crime and gets no punishment, so why will this be any different? These subhumans would already be sitting in jail in the US or in the hospital or morgue because someone would have stopped them.

kaaylagirl Rebel_Patriot Thursday, May 19, 2016

Nobody said it was tolerable you ass. And I definitely did not say it should go unpunished.

Rebel_Patriot kaaylagirl Thursday, May 19, 2016

Westernization? Are you another brainwashed xenophobic racist who thinks Korea is perfect and anything negative must be the influence of some "foreign" influence?

kaaylagirl Rebel_Patriot Friday, May 20, 2016

First of all no, but wtf do you care about what I think? What does it have to do with you?

Rebel_Patriot kaaylagirl Friday, May 20, 2016

attack an entire global civilization, and expect to get pounced on

kaaylagirl Rebel_Patriot Friday, May 20, 2016

Yeah right aint nobody scared of americans, Europeans, or any other country considered western.

Rebel_Patriot kaaylagirl Friday, May 20, 2016

You're a funny little brat... you probably think South Korea is a superpower and the most influential country on Earth.

I feel like the plot for this story is deeper... Video too short to assume who is in the wrong...
