Reports of a father who struck his daughter with a hammer in the face for talking back is shocking the public for his barbaric, violent act.

Ulsan District Court announced earlier today that they have sentenced 54-year-old 'A' to four years in prison for mutilating his daughter's face with a hammer. 

'A' is reported to have verbally abused his daughter for nearly an hour in a drunken state this past June 1. The daughter, who had enough of the verbal abuse, argued back with "Stop it," leading the man to attack with her with a hammer, striking the left side of her face, her cheekbone, and the back of her head multiple times. 

Further, when his wife tried to go to the temple, 'A' allegedly threatened her with an axe that he has been safekeeping, telling her, "Don't go to the temple. [If you do], I will kill you with this axe." 

The courts stated, "Not only did 'A' wound his daughter's face with a lethal weapon that has the potential to leave significant injuries but he has also continuously inflicted bodily and mental harm towards the victims through physical and verbal abuse."
