Police arrested a first-year student at Inha University on charges of sexually assaulting and killing a college student in her 20s. The student was found collapsed and bleeding before dying at the hospital. Both were first-year students at Inha University, and it was confirmed that they were not in the same department.

The Incheon Michuhol Police Station announced on the 15th that it was conducting an investigation by urgently arresting 'A' on charges of rape and murder. Person A is accused of sexually assaulting 'B,' a student of this school, on the campus of Inha University in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, around 3:49 am on the same day, causing her to die.

B, who died, was found in a state of cardiac arrest while intoxicated in school on the same day, bleeding from her head. 119 (emergency services) paramedics took B to the hospital, but three hours later, around 7 am, she eventually died.

Police estimated that B, who was sexually assaulted inside a school building, fell to the ground from the third floor and died. The police are investigating whether person A pushed and dropped person B after the sexual assault.

A and B went to school on the 14th to take an in-person exam for the semester, which had been conducted online. The two were usually active in the same club, and it is said that they met that evening and had a drink together.

After that, the police said that A remained in the school building until B's death. It was also reported that there were no other students other than A and B in the school building at the time of the incident.

The police initially investigated A as a witness, but when A admitted some of the charges, the police switched A as the suspect and began investigating the case. A police official said, "We will determine the exact cause of death through an autopsy request for the deceased person, and will also investigate the relationship between A and B."

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant on the 16th after conducting additional investigations on A.
