It's always a pleasant surprise to see your favorite k-pop star make a surprise appearance on your Korean Dramas. Korean dramas are typically starred by actors and actresses, and idol stars are usually more focused on the music portion of the Korean entertainment industry. However, there are times when you will see an idol star cameo on a K-drama from time to time. These are usually very short appearances, but it surely does make k-pop fans smile as they are able to see them in a whole new genre of entertainment.

Cameos are also beneficial for k-pop stars because they can also serve as a gateway into the acting world. Idol stars are usually not really welcomed in the drama world as Koreans have this stereotype that they will not be good at acting.
