K-pop Throwbacks That'll Make You Feel Old

misc.
1. Fin. K.L
The Nation's Fairy, Lee Hyori started her reign back in the Fin. K.L days with Ock Joo-Hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yuri. Not only does the video show off the pure and simplistic look of the early 2000's but the style and lyricism is a great rewind for folks rooted deeply in KPOP's growth.
2. Romantic Man Kim Jong Kook
For those that have been around since 'X-Man' or had their fair share of experience with this legendary show, you are familiar with the famous Kim Jong Kook vs Lee Min Ki both vying for the love of the innocent and beautiful Yoon Eun Hye. Fast forward many years to 'Running Man', the joke remained as an iconic moment in KPOP variety show history.
3. The Original Kings
TVXQ is one of the most legendary KPOP idols in existence thanks to their great advancement in the Japanese industry and the pathway they paved for the beginning of KPOP spreading worldwide. "Tohoshinki" is definitely one of those groups you knew and loved and always brings back delicate and kind memories from when you first started KPOP.
4. The Most Scandalous Thing in 2008
You can't deny that Hyori and Big Bang coming together to perform some of their greatest hits was already a chilling moment as two of the greatest icons of the time came together. But you can't say you expected T.O.P and Hyori's little moment that definitely left jaws dropping everywhere.
5. The Original Big 12
The early 2000's were a great time for KPOP growth worldwide. Super Junior was one of the legendary older groups that have continued to impact the music industry and their fans everywhere. As one of the biggest groups of the big 3 music industries (YGE, JYP, and SM), Super Junior really made a big name for themselves. Remember back when there were 12 of them and they were all about the cutesy matchy look?
6. From Saying Noona to now being Oppa's
Even if you didn't love this song, you know you lowkey loved it. SHINee made themselves to be one of the most powerful and lovable KPOP boy groups during the rise of KPOP with their unique touch and amazing dancing skills. Can you believe this song was released over ten years ago? It seems like yesterday when I first heard it!
7. It's Been a Long Time Coming
Like I mentioned, the 2000's were a great time for KPOP growth as various talented groups debut and made their mark on not just KPOP but the world in general. Back in 2009, 2NE1 debut and was greatly accepted as possibly one of the hottest and most hip and relevant girl group. For this time, 2NE1 gave a highly different girl group vibe than others that mixed hip-hop, reggae, and a little bit of everything else producing their special sound. Also, can we just note the throwback fashion sense? Amazing.
8. Again and Again
If you're an old-school KPOP fan, the first few beats of the song will definitely get you in some type of feel. Young 2PM definitely has a very fun and unique look to them and their music that fans everywhere adored. And bet your buck you and your friends tried to learn and recreate this dance.
9. The Queen of KPOP
As one of the most successful solo artists in the world, BoA gave us a great and catchy song with "Eat You Up" that got you grooving and vibing wherever you went. With her fierce dance moves, outfits, and powerful beats you can't help but love this song.
10. Gee
You can see just how much Girls' Generation has grown over the years, not in just their looks, but their music and style as well. (Peep young Minho from SHINee) We all know no matter how far or how much KPOP grows, "Gee" and old school Girls' Generation will always hold a special place in our hearts.
