Recently, the Korea Internet Corporations Association released its 'Mobile Service Usage Conduct Report'. The report surveyed 739 music listeners of all ages. Among those surveyed, 43% chose YouTube as their #1 app for listening to music on their mobile device. Melon came in 2nd place with 28.1%, followed by Genie Music and Naver Music in 3rd and 4th place respectively.�

Among the survey participants, only users in their 20s' preferred Melon over YouTube. Participants under 20, as well as participants in their 40s' and 50s', preferred YouTube with a drastic difference from other music platforms, while among participants in their 30s', there was just a small difference between YouTube and Melon users.�

YouTube was also voted as the most preferred app for mobile video streaming, with Naver Video and Oksusu coming in 2nd and 3rd place.
