AKP's Very Merry K-Pop Christmas Playlist!

AKP STAFF
misc.
1. Dear Santa - TTS
"Dear Santa" by TTS is one of the most well-known K-Pop Christmas songs ever! At the start, the track has a seemingly slow ballad-like sound, but once the jingle bells start ringing, it's a full-fledged Christmas party! TTS are the queens of K-Pop Christmas with multiple holiday releases (see: "First Snow" and "Merry Christmas"). One netizen said that "TTS slays every month, but in December, they SLEIGH"!
2. Memory - MAMAMOO
Listening to MAMAMOO's "Memory" is a great way to wrap up the end of another year. With a jazzy melody and MAMAMOO's stunning vocals gracing the track, "Memory" is a newer K-Pop Christmas classic! We love the toned down vibe in the song. "Memory" is the ideal song to have play in the background while eating Christmas dinner!
3. Miracles in December - EXO
An oldie, but a goodie is EXO's "Miracles in December". Not only did the track have all the original members on it, but has an amazing aesthetic video that suits the mood for Christmas and winter in general! EXO's vocal line is always great, but in this song in particular, the harmonies are out of this world!
4. Magic Castle - TVXQ!
A classic K-Pop Christmas hit. With all-white outfits and a very apparent white Christmas setting, the MV for TVXQ!'s "Magic Castle" hits all K-Pop fans with a wave of nostalgia! A fun fact is that the little girl in the video for "Magic Castle" is actually YoonA when she was 14 years old! This song by TVXQ! reinvigorates the childish Christmas spirit inside.
5. Twinkle - LOVELYZ
If the songs before this have been too slow for your taste, this will speed things up! "Twinkle" by LOVELYZ is a newer Christmas song that we absolutely love! From the cute coordinated and festive red outfits to our lovely girls' happy dancing, "Twinkle" is quickly proving itself as a new K-Pop X-mas hit.
6. Love You On Christmas - Baek Yerin
With a voice as sweet as honey, Baek Yerin's Christmas ballad, "Love You On Christmas" is one of the most breathtakingly simple pieces of the season. The tempo is extremely slow but gives a great feeling of warmth. Definitely best listened to while enjoying a cup of hot cocoa in front of the fire next to the tree and the rest of the family.
7. The Winter's Tale - BTOB
The perfect balance between campy and cute, the video for BTOB's "The Winter's Tale" is a must-watch for the holiday season. With a white Christmas concept and a very cute introduction to what is presumably, "The Winter's Tale", BTOB created a bonafide holiday number to sing with your friends before ice-skating!
8. A Typical Trainee's Christmas
Before "A Typical Idol's Christmas", BTS released "A Typical Trainee's Christmas" to express their feelings around this time of year when they were trainees! We have to laugh at the playful lyricism (see: RM's line: "It's raining white poop"), but ultimately the song has a feel-good notion to it that is catchy and simple.
9. All I Want For Christmas Is You - Park Bom & Lee Hi
You might have thought that Mariah Carey was the queen of Christmas, especially when it comes to singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You", but Park Bom and Lee Hi have proved otherwise! Their vocal stylings pair perfectly with each other, showing off the extensive range and abilities of each singer to the max! "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is an extremely challenging song to sing, but both vocalists blew it out of the water!
10. Confession Song - GOT7
Imagine being set up with someone who is in love with you, but the matchmakers are GOT7 themselves! Well, that's exactly the plot to the MV for the feel-good track, "Confession Song". Difficult to believe these students didn't pick the handsome members of GOT7 standing right next to them instead! Nonetheless, "Confession Song" is a cute and heart-warming song for the holidays.
11. Lonely Christmas - Crayon Pop
Crayon Pop is known for their exceptionally catchy and almost hypnotic songs. Don't be fooled by "Lonely Christmas," however, because it's also just as catchy and hypnotic as Crayon Pop's other singles! This upbeat and exhilarating track is perfect for the younger family members that need some energy release! Dancing and laughing together to Crayon Pop brings people closer!
12. Dashing Through The Snow In High Heels - Orange Caramel & Nu'est
Pledis label-mates, Orange Caramel and Nu'est came together for a playful and super cute track entitled, "Dashing Through The Snow In High Heels". The song, which is slightly similar to "Jingle Bells", has a modernized twist and it's upbeat melody and visuals are intoxicatingly addicting to listen to! Orange Caramel and Nu'est are some of the most visually appealing groups in K-Pop and this 2010 song is a trademark hit!
13. December 24 - IU
"December 24" is actually a cover of "D.ear" that IU performed as a Christmas gift for fans in 2014. The video simply consists of IU in a studio doing what she does best: singing! Netizens swoon over the track of her singing "December 24" because it seems like every time IU opens her mouth, magic comes out! A true Christmas miracle!
14. Winter Story - LABOUM
The music video to "Winter Story" by LABOUM has grandeur on another scale! With fairytale effects and dresses as white as snow, the girls of LABOUM stunned with beauty and wonderful vocal ability. LABOUM executed this midtempo track excellently with a sophisticated air that other newer female idol groups don't have!
15. Snow Kiss - TEEN TOP
With an entirely self-shot MV, TEEN TOP gave a wonderfully adorable gift to fans through their song, "Snow Kiss". Fully adorned in Christmas sweaters, tinsel, lights, and Christmas tree sunglasses, the boys showed their adoration for both the holiday season and their fans! TEEN TOP's video is wholesome and feel-good, just like their songs!
16. First Christmas - Joy and Do Young
Do Young of NCT and Joy of Red Velvet joined forces in 2016 to create "First Christmas", a sophisticated, yet festive duet for their special stage on Inkigayo. "First Christmas" is exceptionally challenging due to its extra high notes, but both vocalists deliver jaw-dropping performances! We'd love to see more Red Velvet and NCT collaborations in the future.
17. What's your favorite K-Pop Christmas song?
With so many K-Pop Christmas songs, it's hard to keep track of them all. Though we listed 16, there's more where that came from! Discuss below with your fellow AKP users what your favorite K-Pop Christmas tracks and spread the holiday cheer!
