1. 'Train To Busan'
A man and his estranged daughter, alongside other passengers, become trapped on a speeding train during a zombie outbreak in South Korea. The film was a success at the box office and quite the thriller for those who are fans of the zombie genre.
2. 'Tunnel'
A car salesman (Ha Jung-woo) fights for survival inside a collapsed tunnel while rescue workers race against time to free him. Will he survive or become victim to the tragic accident?
3. 'Old Boy'
If you haven't watched this classic then you need to hurry up and watch it! This is the movie that really put Korean cinema on the map. Dae-Su is an obnoxious drunk bailed from the police station yet again by a friend. However, he's abducted from the street and wakes up in a cell, where he remains for the next 15 years, drugged unconscious when human contact is unavoidable, otherwise with only the television as his company. The premise might not sound so interesting in written form but this movie is amazing, a must watch!
4. 'The Wailing'
Suspicion leads to hysteria when rural villagers link a series of brutal murders to the arrival of a mysterious stranger (Kunimura Jun). From horrible demons and mischevious spirits, will this average man survive his battle with the spirit world?
5. 'Assassination'
A group of Korean resistance fighters working in China has a plan to assassinate a highly ranked Japanese officer. Their plan involves breaking a sniper out of prison, but they also need to deal with a traitor in their midst.
6. 'Boys Over Flowers'
The story of Geum Jan-Di, a normal girl who finds herself attending a prestigious private school after saving a student's life. Exploring her world as she escapes from her bullies and steals the heart of the most popular guy in school.
7. 'Oh My Ghostess'
A timid young chef's assistant is possessed by the ghost of a confident young woman who seeks to resolve her unfinished business. Will she be able to manage her dual life?
8. 'Descendants of The Sun'
Korean's #1 global drama phenom, 'Descendants of The Sun' is a love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin, Korean Special Forces, and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon, a surgeon at Haesung Hospital. Together they face danger in a war-torn country.
9. 'Reply Series'
A nostalgic look back to the last decade of the 20th century. Each series explores a different time period in a casual high school setting. Plenty of drama, so little time.
10. 'Playful Kiss'
A high school girl confesses her feeling to a popular boy in her class. Based off the Japanese drama featuring Kotoko who falls in love at first sight with Naoki but is rejected. When her home is destroyed, Kotoko and her father are invited to live with Naoki's family, giving her the chance to try to win him over.
11. 'Man To Man'
Man to Man is a 2017 South Korean television series starring Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-Woong, Kim Min-jung, Chae Jung-an and Yeon Jung-hoon. The show airs on JTBC every Friday and Saturday.
