12 Times K-Pop Fans Went Savage

AKP STAFF
misc.
1. And your lines...
We love the relationship between Jihyo and Jeongyeon of TWICE and this imagined clapback between the two is hilarious! But, we agree! Jeongyeon, the pixie-haired cutie of TWICE needs more lines!
2. Lost in translation...
This is a frequent miscommunication that happens between people outside of the fandom and K-Pop fans. In fact, the original tweet was in reference to not the N-word, but the Korean word 'naega' or 'I am'. At this point, K-Pop fans are used to his and deal with this all the time.
3. When you joined the K-Pop fandom yesterday...
Sometimes fans aren't necessarily the most knowledgeable about their favorite bias group's sunbaenims. Due to respectability politics in the Korean Music Industry, it is important to acknowledge those who have come before you and it seems as though this ARMY might have joined the K-Pop fandom rather recently. Be sure to do your research!
4. Petite, pale, small face, and someone you can hold? Uh...
Many netizens criticize idols for having unreasonable standards of beauty for their 'ideal type' and it's common for many fans to feel that they are simply an 'egg' or a 'potato' in comparison to the ideal type their bias wants.
5. Bias struggles...
We love this VIP! She was honest about the hardest thing about being a Seungri stan- laughing at his lame jokes! But, we can't help it! Us, K-Pop fans are devoted to our biases!
6. Idol elimination shows vs. EXO...
This is one savage clapback towards EXO's problems with departing members. Though this is light-hearted and not meant to be a really savage clapback, we still find it hilarious that they're comparing the group to idol elimination shows!
7. What's the point if you can't understand?
The K-Pop fan's number one problem: other people thinking our interests in K-Pop are a waste of time and energy because we can't understand them. Some fans clapback with a simple explanation on why it's important to them. Others say this.
8. Mocking Spongebob...
Not really from a fan but still a nice clapback! MockBob was one of the most viral memes of 2017 and K-Pop did not shy away from using it. This is just one example of many MockBob related K-Pop memes out on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Facebook.
9. Let's see her on the charts first...
Evidently, Min Yoongi's stans are just as savage with their clapbacks as he is. This is a great example of when Miley stans were upset that she didn't make the top 5 on Billboard's Social 50. Notice the last comment: "get Miley on charts first then u'll get to see her" ... ouch!
10. Jackson is woke...
Sometimes it's the group's own members that are the most savage! In this case, it was GOT7's Jackson who stated Mark would be the sharpshooter of the group because he's American (implying Americans know how to shoot well!). We consider Jackson's comment one of the most lowkey savage idol comments towards another idol!
11. Subtle...
Sometimes the most savage comments are the most simple and most subtle! Taeyeon of Girls' Generation seems to be at the center of drama a lot. Whether it has to do with her relationships or getting run into at the airport in Jakarta, her name is always on the tips of people's tongues. User @nickisbaess's tweet made us laugh with its simplicity and modest savagery.
12. 30% off discount...
D.O is known as one of the amazing vocalists of EXO as well as a great actor from numerous K-Dramas. However, this savage tweet compares his not-so-fortunate haircut with a bar code. We aren't going to lie! We see the resemblance!
