Fans of Seventeen's Vernon are furious at another supposed Carat for spreading heavily inappropriate posts online.

The controversial posts in question were recently uploaded to a Vernon fan gallery, showing a photo of Vernon's lower half with the caption, "He is the mixed blood prince." The phrase may seem harmless at first, but in Korean, the words used can easily take on a whole different direction.

The words used in the above phrase can be seen as:

혼혈= mixed blood and 왕자= prince, ultimately meaning "He is the mixed prince."

Or also:

혼혈= mixed blood, 왕= king, 자지= male sex organ, which ends up being "Mixed blood's king sex organ."

Fans found the provocative posts seriously offensive, accusing the uploader of sexually harassing the idol star. In fact, a Vernon fan page called Vernon Union is currently gathering evidence to take legal actions against the uploader.

Netizens didn't seem to hide their shock and disgust toward the crude jokes, with comments like, "That is not a fan. This is crazy!", "Wow.. that is too much", "Please take legal actions so that this person gets penalized for good", and more.

why can't people just be respectful of others. if it's not ok to say it to the person's face in public, then it's not ok to say it behind your computer screen on your keyboard.

parklizzy Sunday, July 31, 2016

Well. For me it's too much. But Vernon is not the first idol this happened to. And he won't be the last. Honestly, there is nothing much you can do. I doubt this will have any consequences for the OP.

bang_nay Saturday, July 30, 2016

Isn't Vernon still a minor? This is highly inappropriate

parklizzy bang_nay Sunday, July 31, 2016

He is 18 (internatinal) so, I guess he's 19 in Korea :/

anonobody12345 parklizzy Sunday, July 31, 2016

He is 19 in Korea, but when it comes to the law, biological age is used. Regardless, he is still a minor because you become an adult at 20 (biological age) :/

bollwoodvskpop Saturday, July 30, 2016

I wish someone touched me up inappropriately.

kpoplover308 Saturday, July 30, 2016

Tbh I don't really get it. They called him mixed blood and showed a picture pointed at his groin.

Haneefah kpoplover308 Saturday, July 30, 2016

...same :/

cheriebunny kpoplover308 Saturday, July 30, 2016

seriously? What is there not to get? The intention? The meaning? Or why it's a big deal? It's kinda clear what the person was meaning with the whole mixed blood thing. I dont think it's the big of a deal tho.

Yoruni kpoplover308 Saturday, July 30, 2016

its bc you're not korean but basically the text says "mixed blood king cock/dick" okay? you guys are both wrong about the controversy being about the mixed blood thing or racism or whatever bc he IS half. It's bc of the sexual reference. it's the equivalent of if someone zoomed in on a female idol's boobs and said "queen boobs" or something.

kpoplover308 Yoruni Saturday, July 30, 2016

So are they saying he has a big dick cause he's mixed? I get calling someone a hapa is really mean and I also know that Korea places a big emphasis on pure bloodlines. But speaking as a guy, ya I'd be hurt you called me that, but at the same time I'd be happy because you think I gotta big dick. But I'm not an idol so it's probably different.

sophjam kpoplover308 Sunday, July 31, 2016

This is not whether he is happy about that or not. (which I highly doubt he is) This is about crossing lines into his private space. This post is highly inappropriate so there should be consequences even if its just to prove a point.

kpoplover308 sophjam Sunday, July 31, 2016

But to clarify, if you just had a picture of his groin would that be enough to be considered crossing the line? Because if that's what you're implying then I disagree with you.

Yoruni kpoplover308 Sunday, July 31, 2016

no aughh did you not read what i said? they were just saying he had a king dick bc of the apparent bulge in the jean picture. the mixed race part is just what the fan was calling him since he's mixed. also he's half white and asian too i dont think white person are stereotypically known to have big dicks. also you say you would be happy so you're saying you would be happy if someone edited a picture that was zoomed into your crotch and spread it all over your social media and the internet? haha yeah right

Haneefah Yoruni Sunday, July 31, 2016

overall, he did get sexually harassed.. right ?

kpoplover308 Yoruni Sunday, July 31, 2016

Well there's a stereotype that asians have small dicks, white have medium sized dicks, and black people have huge dicks. Actually it's not even a stereotype average male dick size also reflect it. For a lot of guys dick size is a source of pride. So what I was thinking is they were saying he's mixed because he seems to be well endowed. All I'm saying is at least it's better if it was the opposite way around, saying he has a small dick because that really does hurt the male ego.

Yoruni Haneefah Monday, August 1, 2016

yes i personally think so

Yoruni kpoplover308 Monday, August 1, 2016

dude the whole thing is just that it was sexually inappropriate for a "fan" to say something like that with a picture zoomed in on his crotch and attempt to spread it on the internet and publicly in person. You keep talking about big dicks or small dicks and guys' confidence. that's not the issue here. it would have been just as bad if it was flipped bc it would have still been sexually inappropriate. sheesh enough with race and whatever tf you're not understanding the BASIS of this issue and I think it also has to do with you not being korean so you don't fully understand the meaning and the impact of what the person did

kpoplover308 Yoruni Monday, August 1, 2016

So it's not about the mixed blood thing? Because if it's not about that, half the people on here have a problem with the mixed blood part and the other half are like you have have more of an issue with the picture itself. Thereby the confusion. Also if it's not a race issue, then how does me not being Korean relate to this? When you say that it makes it even more confusing.

Yoruni kpoplover308 Monday, August 1, 2016

sorry maybe i didnt clarify enough. I brought up you not being Korean because if you can't read and understand "혼혈왕자지" then these words don't fully affect you the same way and you can't really understand what these words actually mean. it's like the korean word "neugihae" which if often translated to "oily" or "gross" in English for dramas even though those english words don't fully describe what that korean word means

kpoplover308 Yoruni Tuesday, August 2, 2016

Sorry I still don't really get it. I understand it's hard to explain if English is your second language. But thank you for trying to explain in your own way.

chirel Saturday, July 30, 2016

First, is this the year for sexual crimes in the korean entertainment industry? Second, these people would go crazy if they saw tumblr lol.

Haneefah chirel Saturday, July 30, 2016

soo true, so many sexual crimes going on..

brianz Saturday, July 30, 2016

If this is sexual harassment what then what about the all the smut fanfics people write lol

Wazzup_Bby Saturday, July 30, 2016

I'm surprised at how many people here see this as overreacting.. I mean, what if it was you? Would you like it if someone posted a bunch of pictures of your private parts and sexualizing it? Yes I get that there are a lot of hot pictures of him online and there are a lot of pictures like that everywhere of every idol, and yes you are allowed to like what you see.. but just don't go so far that you start posting pictures of his dick online where he, his friends, his family and the whole world can see it. Try to respect him and not see him as a sex object.

BigBlueagain Wazzup_Bby Saturday, July 30, 2016

It's a pic of him in jeans. There's nothing to see.

Wazzup_Bby BigBlueagain Saturday, July 30, 2016

In my head I read it as multiple pics of him, but now I read it again and see that I can have been wrong, hah.. sorry ´:D. Though I still stand my place about what I said; that we should stop sexualizing idols online as much, and respect them more.

BigBlueagain Wazzup_Bby Saturday, July 30, 2016

Never gonna happen. Sex sells to well and EVERY entertainment company in the world pushes it.

BigBlueagain Wazzup_Bby Saturday, July 30, 2016

Besides, I can think of thing a LOT worse that people could say about me other than I have nice package.

Wazzup_Bby BigBlueagain Saturday, July 30, 2016

I get what you are saying. But I'm not talking about when the idols are doing sexy dances, preforming sexy and such, but when the fact that they often can't be just casual and not having someone posting close up pics of their private parts and sexualizing it.

bobbatea Wazzup_Bby Sunday, July 31, 2016

do you know how fucking common this shit is? He's not the only one. People are probably using the fact " he's 18 and he's fluent in English " 18 isn't a minor, 18 is an adult. Though technically you are still a teenager but legally (some countries) or commonly known and referred to at a young adult. You can do anything at 18 expect for alcohol. You can drive, you can go to the army, you can join the police force and etc. He's not a minor plus again, this is so common also I want people to google and take out a dictionary and search up sexual harassment because this is NO WHERE near secual harassment. She didn't say it to his face and did not touch him, this is not harassment or assault. Do you know how many people say shit like this?? Idk why this is such a big deal seriously. You see people cropping idols sweating in leather and their bulge is popping out because it's leather. Big woop, why is this a big deal?

BigBlueagain Wazzup_Bby Sunday, July 31, 2016

They're idols. Being sexualized is part of the job. They sell fantasy and that's part of the fantasy.

Wazzup_Bby bobbatea Sunday, July 31, 2016

As I said, in this case I thought it was bigger than it was. I'm not saying this is not common. I have seen MANY times fans do this. And as I said, you are allowed to like it. But what I am trying to say is that just because you are an idol, it should not give people permission to post whatever they want of you. Age does not matter. People should be more careful of what they post about others, because the people they post about may not like it to be posted where everyone can see it. Is it obvious that there are extremely sexual posts of idols? Yes. Should we then keep on posting that? No, not if the idol is not ok with that. I don't believe I'm being revolutionary here, all I am trying to do is just give a simple message that idols are humans to, who we should try to respect more and be more considerate towards them and what we post about them on public sites.

federick Saturday, July 30, 2016

well most of us fantasized our idols

nicolesw Saturday, July 30, 2016

Aside from the racial thing, this article also forgot to add something as to why the fans prepare to take legal actions, is because that one alleged fan printed those slogans and was going to distribute them to other fans who attend seventeen concert on July 30th and 31st. But before she succeed on doing that, some fans caught her in action when she announced it. So they need to prepare to take legal actions to prevent this from happening. The fans asked here and there for screenshot of her tweets, because she deleted them. In the end, she apologized eventho I'm not sure the problem has been completely solved or not. Fortunately, in the day 1 of concert today, those slogans doesn't seem to be anywhere around the concert area. Just imagine, if that legal action preparation weren't there, Vernon would literally see those slogans in front of his face, and that's a sexual harassment. So, is this overreacting? No.

helloangelkari nicolesw Saturday, July 30, 2016

Thanks for this. AKP be always leaving out stuff to make stories seem a certain way.

nicolesw helloangelkari Saturday, July 30, 2016

Ikr, even the title can be misleading, I've seen a lot of people who only read the title, are assuming it's Vernon who sexually harassed someone. That's a false information, and basically the article writer's fault. And I hate it when sometimes misleading title or incomplete article is intended, to provoke others..

helloangelkari nicolesw Sunday, July 31, 2016

Yeah, its clickbait, the Internet's absolute worst.

BlueTails nicolesw Monday, August 1, 2016

Bless you for this comment OTL Why does allkpop write the shittiest most half assed articles. They just are so biased against seventeen it's so funny and its blatantly obvious.
