T-ara's Eunjung has decided to drop out of the new SBS' drama, 'Five Fingers'.
She was cast for the role of Hong Dami, a girl who loved the piano. According to an associate of the producers, Eunjung just recently decided on dropping out of the drama. It is said that she attended the script reading held yesterday with no problems, but unexpectedly informed the producers of her decision to pull out today (22nd KST) bringing about an emergency meeting. The producers are currently hard at work trying to find another actress in her 20's to replace Eunjung's role.
One of the actresses they have thought about recruiting to take the place of Eunjung is Jin Se Yeon.
A representative of the drama revealed on August 22nd, "It seems Jin Se Yeon may take the empty spot left by Eunjung. We held an emergency meeting about Eunjung's leave and Jin Se Yeon's casting... There's nothing confirmed as of now, but Jin Se Yeon and her agency are looking over the offer with a positive mindset, so we believe it will proceed on without much problems."
Update: Another report has surfaced stating that an insider from the broadcasting industry has revealed that it was actually the drama staff who had notified Eunjung about their decision to pull her out. The insider states that he believes that the drama has not been able to market itself fully due to the controversy and negativity surrounding T-ara, and thus has made the decision to pull Eunjung out and replace her with another actress.
It is unclear who made the decision at this point for Eunjung and Core Contents Media are keeping silent on the issue at the moment, and the drama staff are stating that Eunjung made the decision to leave for she felt uncomfortable with proceeding on.
