Actor Jo Jung Suk revealed his ideal type to be none other than his ’You’re the Best Lee Soon Shin‘ co-star IU!

On the May 18th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘, Jo Jung Suk became the next celebrity to play the game, ‘ideal type world cup’. Among the beautiful contenders, miss A‘s Suzy, IU, 4minute‘s HyunA, 2NE1‘s CL, Lee Yoon Ji, Kim Yuna, Lee Na Young, and Song Hye Gyo, Jo Jung Suk had a hard time deciding between four of them.

The actor chose IU, CL, Lee Yoon Ji, and Lee Na Young as his top four and in the final round of Lee Yoon Ji vs. IU, he ended up giving the ‘ideal type’ crown to his co-star IU.

Jo Jung Suk said his parting words to Lee Yoon Ji, “I hope you understand. You understand me right?” To IU, he shared, “I hope you don’t think, ‘Why did oppa pick me?’, and you got the crown.”

4minute‘s HyunA shared her thoughts on returning to the stage after being hospitalized.

HyunA stated, “I stood on stage again after ten days. I was so happy and thankful to win #1 with my members. As much as a lot of people worried for me, I will work even harder. Thank you. Also, I was so joyful yesterday that I kept laughing uncontrollably. I didn’t cry.”

HyunA returned from her hospital stay, fully recovered, to reunite with her group on ‘M! Countdown‘ and won the #1 title for their second consecutive week with “What’s Your Name?“. Although HyunA looked like she was shedding tears upon the win, she came forward to explain that she was instead laughing in happiness.

After being hospitalized, HyunA shed tears after returning to the stage with 4minute.

4minute won ‘M! Countdown‘ two weeks in a row with “What’s Your Name?“, but this win was a little more special because HyunA had returned from her hospital stay. She’s been sick for a bit, but she’d fully recovered to stand on stage.

When they won, she started wiping at her eyes because she was so touched, and the other members hugged her to make her feel better. Jihyun said, “We’re happy to win #1 for 2 weeks in a row since our comeback. We want to share this happiness with our label family. HyunA’s with us on stage today, so I think our #1 is more meaningful. Thank you.”

Who’s the prettiest girl group member?

Well, of course they’re all gorgeous and opinion varies according to type, but Reach Panel Korea‘s PanelNow wanted to find out the answer through a poll. They surveyed 22,104 people and asked who they thought were the prettiest. Suzy gathered 29% of the votes and placed first overall.

YoonA came up right behind her with 25% of the votes. After that, there was a big jump down to third place, as Krystal received 9% of the votes.

The rest of poll is as follows: Dara with 7%, HyunA and Hara who each received 6% of the votes (1,370 for HyunA, 1,259 for Hara). Sunhwa was next with 4%, and Jiyeon along with Dasom wrapped up the poll with 2% each (461 for Jiyeon, 410 for Dasom).

4minute‘s HyunA, who was admitted into the hospital a few days ago after being diagnosed with a high fever, will be discharged soon after a doctors’ prognosis of recovery.

According to Cube Entertainment, HyunA will begin discharge procedures on the 12th, which will be followed by a period of rest. Although she had a highly volatile fever when she was admitted on the 9th, it has cooled off recently.

HyunA missed out on the recent Dream Concert stage, which only featured the remaining four members of 4minute. Cube will make a decision on when she will be permitted to resume her schedule based on her future level of recovery.

On May 9, Cube Entertainment confirmed, “HyunA has gotten much healthier. She was hospitalized because of her high fever, but now it’s gone down quite a bit. Further examinations showed that there is nothing wrong with her. But her fever is still going up and down, so we’re going to keep watching her. We’re thinking of having her stay in the hospital and rest until she’s fully recovered.”

For the fans who were looking forward to her appearance for ‘Dream Concert‘ on May 11, that is still up in the air. Cube Entertainment said, “We’re carefully monitoring her and she’ll leave the hospital when she’s fully recovered. We’ll inform you of the decision when it’s confirmed.“

4minute will be pre-recording their “What’s Your Name?” stage on ‘Inkigayo‘ without HyunA.

‘Weekly Idol‘ went around with a survey titled, ‘They’re so~ different~ from their real selves! The cosplay-idols that have a business image‘. Many idols participated in the survey, offering their suggestions on whom they believe to be the most different on and off camera.

To the amusement of fans some of the results were released through the show’s Twitter.

First up was TEEN TOP‘s L.Joe. His own members Niel, Ricky, and Changjo wrote, “Angel on stage, demon off stage!!!!!“, “Cute hyung vs player hyung“, and “He really has absolutely no charisma!“.

Next up was INFINITE‘s Sungjong, who was nominated by L, who wrote, “Show us your real self“.

However, more members seemed to think that L was the more likely candidate, as Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Hoya, Sungyeol, and Sungjong wrote, “He has two faces“, “It’s not the same person..“, “L and Myungsoo are different people…“, “He’s cool on stage, but he’s not cool anymore“, and “He has a chic image, but he’s actually lively and fun“. Others seemed to agree, as TEEN TOP’s C.A.P, Rainbow‘s Jisook, and Hello Venus‘ Ara wrote, “You’re all being fooled“, “He seems like a cold city pretty boy but he’s actually weird“, and “Cold image vs bright, nice manner-man“.

4minute‘s HyunA and Gayoon grabbed viewers’ hearts with their sexy and cute aegyos on the recent episode of KBS‘ ‘Gag Concert.’

The two members guest starred on the popular segment ‘Discovery of Living‘ and raised a hot response from the audience.

During the segment, HyunA asked for more sweet and sour pork to comedian Kim Ki Ri with aegyo. When her aegyo failed to work, she shook his heart by performing “Troublemaker.”

Kim Ki Ri used the kiss performance of the dance to get close to HyunA and told her, “I’ll give you sweet and sour pork. If you dance again, I can give you three more sweet and sour pork. If you dance another time I can give you the Chinese restaurant.”

Gayoon also stole the viewers’ attention with her cute charms by dancing to Psy‘s “Gangnam Style.”

4minute recently released their MV for “What’s Your Name” and some criticism has arose on HyunA‘s outfit in the music video.

While many commented that she looked sexy and was indeed “the mascot of 4minute“, there were others who felt negatively about her outfit. As HyunA tries to trump herself on her characteristic sexiness, there were some who felt that she crossed the line between ‘sexy’ and ‘trashy’. At first, she’s lying on the bed, posing suggestively at the camera. Her outfit for the majority of the video where she dons incredibly short shorts over fishnets have also caused some to feel uncomfortable.

Viewers commented that it was not only uncomfortable to watch, but that they were worried about what young children would learn from the MV. One music broadcast representative said, “There is high interest in K-pop, and it’s popular all over the world. However, we must stop trying to win over fans by just being overtly sexual,” pointing out that a high YouTube view count wasn’t everything. He added, “Yes, it’s important to spread Korean culture, but it’s also important in how Korean culture is spread.”

HyunA and Gayoon turned into twins for ‘InStyle‘ Magazine.

It’s the first time the pair had a dual photoshoot, and when they were told that the concept was ‘twins’, both of them were unsure if the concept would work. However, their worries quickly disappeared after the pair donned on similar hairstyles, accessories, and clothes in front of the camera.

Instead of the strong aura they usually have on stage, the two girls turned into cute siblings and never lost their smile around each other. The two also revealed, “As we prepared our new album, each member inputted their own ideas for hair, makeup, and even the clothing. We’re practicing over 6 hours a day for our comeback.”

Just after the news of 4minute‘s comeback delay by a day, the girls have treated us to a video teaser featuring HyunA!

Although the girls left us confused about the final concept with the release of three different sets of comeback photos, it seems they’ll be going with the spunky and trendy image depicted in the third set judging by this teaser.

As mentioned previously “What’s Your Name?” is the work of none other than Brave Brothers, and its genre is described to be ‘Fantasy Hip Hop’, which will apparently go along perfectly with the girl’s powerful and charismatic image they’ll be showcasing. According to Cube, the song is an electronic hip hop song with a unique sound and the repeating lines “What’s Your Name?” will be hard to forget once you hear it.

Sungmin transformed into a near perfect HyunA for ‘Super Show 5‘!

The Super Junior boys have always cross-dressed for their solo concerts, and they didn’t disappoint this time around, either! When Kangin parodied Ga In, he’d apologized for the parody, but it doesn’t look like Sungmin will need any apology.

He looked perfectly fine even with the long wavy wig and the strong makeup. He’d even included the little star below his eye, which HyunA often does as a trademark.

HyunA ranked the prettiest member in 4minute

On the March 20 episode of MBC Every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, she was asked who the prettiest member in 4minute was. She replied, “Recently, the ranking of appearance in 4minute has changed a lot. The members all got really pretty. I think my looks is somewhere in the middle. If my makeup is done really well on a particular day, I’m in 2nd place. If not, I’m probably 3rd place. The top member in terms of looks in 4minute is Jihyun. I don’t have to say anything else, she’s just beautiful.”

‘Weekly Idol‘ wouldn’t be what it is without its rankings that fans look forward to each week. On the show, HyunA honestly ranked her 4minute members according to their looks.

HyunA shared, “The visual ranking among 4minute changed a lot these days. My visuals belong in the middle of the ranking. When I’m having a good makeup day, I’m #2. But when I’m not, I’m #3.” She also chose Jihyun as the prettiest member, stating, “You don’t need any other words to explain. She’s just pretty.”

Although she wasn’t 1st in that ranking, HyunA was able to grab #1 as one of the best 7 ‘World Idols to Become the Next Psy’.

‘Airport fashion’ has become something that fans look forward to, and the phenomenon struck again as your favorite idol stars returned to Korea from the ‘Korea Music Wave in Bangkok 2013‘ concert on the 17th.
