KARA will be participating in an  ’Art Project’ with painters Won Jong Shin and Park Gi-Il.

The girl group will release art in the form of ‘Art Poster’, ‘Art Cube’, and ‘magnets’ for the project. The project will be available to the public on the 24th through the Hallyu product site starmise.com and will be sold to Korean and Japanese fans. The project is highly anticipated because of the participants who have previously shown their unique styles in previous works. The concept of the project is ‘have a piece of the stars‘, so many fans are looking forward to the project launch.

The ‘Art Posters’ featuring the individual members will be limited to only 4,000 pieces, while the group posters will be limited to 6,000 pieces. The ‘Art Cube’ will feature previously unreleased photos from their album ‘Pandora‘ and will be in the form of a cube.

SHINee‘s Jonghyun gave a little something for the fans to have fun with while they wait for SHINee’s highly anticipated comeback with “Sherlock.”

Earlier today, Jonghyun tweeted, “Yep, that’s right. It’s the handsome charismatic Minho. It’s so obvious right? ^^ So easy” along with the picture below.

Shortly after posting the picture, Jonghyun tweeted, “You guys, don’t tell Minho. This is a little secret between us. Shh! …. Bye Minho.”

But he wasn’t done expressing his artistic side. He posted up another drawing with a tweet, “I think I’m good.” Which was apparently based off of this “secret with Minho”.

Upon seeing the photos, netizens stated, “Are you ok Jonghyun oppa?” and “If it’s an original, you need to put your autograph on it.”

With the season of giving in full swing, Wonder Girls‘ leader Sunye spent her Tuesday afternoon touring a Picasso exhibit at the National Palace Museum of Korea with children at a charity event today.

Since October 26th, the National Modern Art Gallery has held a special exhibit called “Picasso and Modern Art: Passion and Solitude” (‘피카소와 모던아트’), featuring a collection of over a hundred artworks from the Albertina Museum in Austria. The National Modern Art Gallery and the Community Chest teamed up for a year-end event admitting a hundred young attendees into the exhibition for free.  The crowd, which included orphans and children from low-income families, received an exclusive exhibition tour during the two hour event. “The children are mostly from low income, single parent families so they haven’t enjoyed many cultural and social things. They were so excited about going to the gallery,” a teacher who attended the event explained.

Although it wasn’t part of the Wonder Girls’ schedule, Sunye decided to attend the event and enjoy the artwork with the students. She had already seen the exhibition a month ago but came back for this special event. She explained, “When I was little, I lost my mother and grew up with my grandmother. I wanted to do give back to the society for the help it has given me while I was growing up so I came back here.”

“The kids paid more attention to Sunye than the paintings,” one observer recounted with amusement. “Some little kids went up to Sunye and didn’t know who she was, but they loved her anyway because of her kindness.”

In the drama, there is a scene where Hye-na (Yoon Eun Hye’s character in “My Fair Lady”) is looking for a part-time job, and ends up painting the exterior of a kindergarten with Dong-chan (protrayed by Yoon Sang-hyun). All the painting was actually done by the talented Yoon Eun Hye herself!

Yoon Eun Hye prepared a lot for this scene, and prepared the paints, painted a lot of the base decorations like the butterflies and the trees, and came up with the idea that the children should stamp on their handprints as leaves for the trees.

The mural that she painted for the set of “Coffee Prince” still remains on the wall and remains a popular attraction, and this mural will probably become a popular attraction as well. You guys can check out the mural for yourselves here:

The episode of “My Fair Lady” with this particular scene is set to air on September 30th. I’m looking forward to it!

Early on in April Goo Hye Sun had released her first novel, “Tango.” selling over 30,000 copies and went into the seventh printing in the first week. And now she’s having her very own solo exhibition, showing forty of her drawings, at Gallery La Mer, Insa-dong. Those who have read “Tango” have already been introduced to to some of her works.

Artists are often influenced inspired by other artists and for Goo Hye Sun, her role model is Leonardo Da Vinci. Her admiration for Da Vinci started when her teacher introduced her to the book, “Think Like Da Vinci.” From there on she realized that she can do a lot in her life time which allowed her to muster up the confidence she has today to have this exhibition.

Goo Hye Sun spends an hour or two at her home studio everyday to create new pieces of art. Besides the artwork that’s already been shown in Tango, some of her work is featured in Gummy’s fourth album.

Her co-stars from Boys Over Flowers, Lee Min Ho and Kim Jun, have already showed their support for her at the opening of her exhibition. She is hoping that those who haven’t already to visit and check out all her artwork. She has collaborated with the WITH campaign and decided to donate the proceeds of the exhibition to them.

Acting, writing, drawing… this artist is full of many surprise talents. What’s it up next for her? Dancing? Directing?

In fact, directing has already come along for Goo Hye Sun as well. Featured in the Busan Asian Short Film Festival, she wrote and directed a short film called “The Cheerful Caretaker.” She is currently working on another script for another film, this time full- length.

There is so much coming up with Goo Hye Sun… I just really don’t know what to expect for next. I hope her acting career is enough to help her support the road to the rest of her dreams.
