I know journalists hate this sentence, but sometimes it’s deserved.
Hey Allkpop, slow news day?
Fans are seriously delusional. She is simply using a makeup brand, and there is no message or hidden intent behind it. As far as the islands go, I’m sure every Korean supports the notion that they are Korean land. If you are Japanese and can’t handle that, then maybe you shouldn’t be a K-pop fan.
Again reminded that after 14 years of being a K-pop fan and why I don’t engage in the silly nonsense fan wars anymore. I’m too old for this stupid shit.
Lol Hyoyeon literally parodying herself.
While some things might of been too harsh back then, there were also a lot of things that were fun and perfectly fine. I rewatched the Running Man episode the other day of SNSD racing through the mud, and thought to myself that you wouldn’t see idols these days doing that.
It’s a little too overly fragile and boring with today’s generation.
In NK, they are probably told that Squid Game is a documentary.
Are there problems with Capitalist society? Of course, but NK's system is a hundred times worse.
I think the main issue here is that the majority of them are not getting a vaccine, yet they want to pretend that isn’t the problem.
Definitely won't be the same without him. :(
I don't have a problem with the controversy or what's going on with it. I just don't think it should be on the actors to have to apologize for it all. While maybe slightly ignorant, they just working hard to do the best acting they can, and then it's all sullied by what the investors and production company is doing. Their hard work went to waste and a waste of their time, and yet they the ones that are supposed to apologize for it? smh
Chinese government doing an amazing job at either threatening their celebrities or brainwashing them. No other explanation when literally every single chinese celebrity is so outwardly supporting everything they do.
It's okay Chorong, I still love you. I hope it doesn't discourage her.
Sorry but I do stand in the middle with Signal. The chanting/rapping in the verses is dreadful, but the chorus is fantastic. Just not a fully well thought out song by JYP.
At least 90% of idols have had plastic surgery. All your favorite idols have most likely had it, as much as you all would want to deny it. But who cares? You are never going to date them so it makes no difference.
As a Sone, it's great to see SNSD still in the rankings. ^^
And they haven't even promoted as a full group in three years.
Sam made an apology, and now this. Looks like those saying it is okay as long as it's not mocking have won this battle, and thus Korea will continue it's lack of progress on these matters. Pathetic.
Post all you want girl. Personally, I find her transparency very refreshing in an industry that tries to hide everything, and a celebrity culture that pretends it's squeaky clean.
Whatever. Conservative right wing broadcasting being racist, stupid idiots. Nothing new here, move along. Idiots like this fuel off of being called out, so lets just ignore them.
I've been championing Bong Joon-ho's work for the entire past decade. As a fan, I've never been more proud. Truly amazing!
Honestly, I blame Kpop fans for this. They make it out to be the biggest crime in the world for their idol to be dating anyone. Because of this idols have to be completely silent on their dating lives, and when a harmless joke comes up, they don’t know how to react, even to probably thinking that they would get criticized if they smiled or laughed. But Momo probably feels sad and ashamed because the kpop culture makes her think it’s something to be ashamed of. This really needs to change.
When you think of Netflix, you think of things like Stranger Things and Squid Game. I don’t think Disney wants that type of image in the US. Gritty shows with plenty of blood and language. They want you to think Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and other Disney franchises. The strategies with shows like this was always to grow the Asian market, and even if they aren’t doing everything exactly right, they are succeeding at that. It’s not the smartest move, but they are doing exactly what they set out to do, and it was never to make the next Squid Game, at least not on a global success.
