Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye Rejected

Wonder Girls' leader, Sun Ye (19), gave word that she will not be attending college this year, but rather trying again next year.

Sun Ye, who is said to be speechless of the university's decision (Dankook University), is determined to prepare even harder for the entrance exam next year. Sun Ye has decided to skip college this year not because she doesn't want to attend, but because she didn't get accepted. That's right, pretty faces will get you anywhere BUT college. According to JYP Entertainment, Sun Ye was supposed to receive an enrollment letter on the 11th. "There were many more students who are (obviously) more studious than Sun Ye, and unfortunately she was not accepted."

But don't be so quick to judge; one member not getting her education doesn't mean a total ditz of a group. Ye Eun (19) is going to be attending Kyung Hee University, and will be majoring in post-modern music. Along with Ye Eun, rapper Yoo Bin is also going to be attending college at Myung Ji University. Teenyboppers, Sohee and Sun Mi, will be entering high school.

Good luck to these ladies returning to school. Hopefully Sun Ye will replace the mic with a book, the second time around. I guess she won't be Big Bangin' with TOP.

OUCH....not saying she’s not smart or anything, but I would be in kind of a downer if I was the only one not advancing in academics in my group…
at least there’s next year.

But again, who need to go to college if you can produce a song that reign over a 3-4 months time span…

What’s her major? is it music related?

i had plenty of friends in korea that didn’t get into college their first time around. hopefully she studies harder and will get in next year, but doubt that will happen.

I think it shows that rich, famous people don’t always get into university based on that alone. I do feel bad for her, but I’m happy she’s still planning to try again next year. :D That’s always good.

too bad it’s not America, where celebs can pay their way into the university. it’s kind of embarrassing, especially since the rest of the group will be in school… she better get on more shows or do some studying in that free time.

how embarrassing. she’s the only member who isn’t going to college, well except for the little ones, whoever they are.

she looks weird in that picture. maybe thats just how she usually looks like but i haven’t noticed. hmm.

inspite of being not accepted, i salute her determination to apply again next year… being the leader of the group, she was also under pressure that time that she didnt get much preparation like any other students entering or vying for acceptance in the university… there’s still another year, and she has longer time to prepare…

way to go Sun Ye.. education is the key.. so no matter what, enter college okay...?

aww i really feel bad for...shouldve studied harder! lol..jk..atleast she’s gonna keep trying. but...i really think..she reminds me of like a hamster or something...but at other times..she CAN be pretty. lol...dont hate me!! thats just my OPiNiON!.. :] go sunye! [[hope she gets in next year]]

what, sunhee and sun mi are ONLY entering highschool? i didn’t realize they were that young unless the korean system is different.
oh well...they probly spend alot of time doing entertainment like stuff...it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t go to school now .she’s still young

well, leaders tend to do more than others in the group...school is more for people who want to live conventional lives...as we have seen, a college education isn’t necessry to succeed in the entertainment industry…

in the year to come, in addition to studying, she may be able to make more appearances to potentially develop a solo career and/or learn more about other aspects of the entertainment industry to develop contacts and experiences if she chooses a different career…

Well, I guess it’s better than not actually trying.
Good luck to her, even though I don’t really like the Wonder Girls.
If I hate them so much, why am I looking at their articles?
Honestly, I have no idea.
