Wonder Girls

The Wonder Girls will be setting sail for America along with Park Jin Young to guest star at his concerts which are to be held in New York and L.A. in February of 2008.

A JYP Entertainment spokesperson had stated that this opportunity has arose thanks to Park Jin Young, and that the Wonder Girls will be taking full advantage of the situation to test the waters in America.

JYP Entertainment who already has plans to debut 3 singers, 'Min', 'G-Soul' and 'Lim Jung Hee' in the U.S. next year, may now even throw the Wonder Girls into the mix.

Will the Wonder Girls make it in the U.S.?

Personally, I don’t think the Wonder Girls will make it here in the US .. C’mon now, the 3 singers that JYP was supposed to have debut this year didn’t .. I saw a performance clip of Min & G-Soul .. it wasn’t all that great. Their english needs more practice for sure! It’s going to be extremely hard. The US music industry is really competitive.

i don’t think they are trying to make it in us… i cant see an all asian girl group making it… not even mixed ethnicity or all white girl groups typically make it.

I really don’t think this is a good idea.. Korea liked them b/c they’re young girls shaking their asses on the stage, but America has enough of that as it is.. xD

And there hasn’t been any successful Asian artists in the music industry in America, and I doubt Wonder Girls are going to break that streak… =/

English, mainly, is always a concern. I love JYP [uh, to an extent] but I don’t think he truly understands how different the American and Korean music industries are. :/ Someone successful in Korea may just be another singer in America, and vice versa. I admire him for trying, though. I think.

I hope they do good. Seems like Big Bang is going japanese in 2008 and now wonder girls are going US so whose going to keep us entertained up here? Just joking..I’m still going to watch and listen to everyone one of their performances smile They’re english doesn’t seem that good but I know quite alot of people in US who love WG so they at least have a fanbase there unlike G-soul, Min and Lim Jung Hee who are starting fresh.

No way! .... No hope for them at all!!!
you know? ... instead of them ... he should give a little chance for K-will to travel to US!
I can’t believe the guy’s dream is to one day step on the US soil! ....
like he has not even earned that much to win a vacation or something to US? *pfewwww*

Poor English…. poor vocal… Poor Concept. I WONDER how they can survive.
Why Poor concept? B/c Asians like them since we are into the cutties trend, but Americans are not.
But I still wish them to go, then others will have chance to fill their wasted spot on music show. Go GOGOGOGGOGO WG and at best, never comeback…. but I doubt that.

well Baby V.O.X. tried doing the same thing a couple years back but that (meaning their U.S. debut) didn’t happen but wish them the best of luck cuz the U.S. market is hard to break into especially if ur a foreigner with not the best english skills

Hey, PJY is not that stupid to have them debut in the US. (What ever happened to Min and G-Soul anyway?) They’re not going to debut in the US for SURE, they’ll be filming MTV documentary, receive voice lessons, and sing at JYP’s concert that’s all.
