he has charisma on stage. But he can’t sing. His range is very limited. I think his singing rang = his talking range. He can’t hold the note at the end of the sentences. I wish he would focus more on singing than dancing. The dance routine is hot. But his voice is forgetable aka non-existing.

hey if wonderhoes can call their song a hit because their fans love it, pretty sure taeyang can survive going solo.

I sill think of Rain and Minwoo while I’m watching his perf.  Skimmy clothes if not shirtless + not so good voice but sure can sing + sexy dance.  It’d be nice if there’s only one of them.

Taeyang’s solo debut wasnt a failure! what in the hell are yall talking about? the man had 45,000 pre-orders of his cd. 12,000 sales in one day! Epik High sold 60,000 records for the month of April! Taeyang is about to surpass that record with only being out for a couple of weeks! Besides this is his first solo performance, it will get better, you can tell that he was nervous! But he still killed his performance, unlike the wondergirls who sucked! Taeyang should just come to America and try to debut cus you fuckers over in Korea dont appericate him! hes on another level, just like Tasha and Drunken tiger they should debut in America. Asia aint ready for them!

Guys give the people in allkpop.com a break. They are using the Kim Gura technique of bad mouthing everyone to gain fame. Using that method is hit and miss sometimes its funny and other times its offensive. Personally I think that writing news while bashing the subject is about as hard as making fun of someones mother. Writing real news and gaining fame is more respectable and would probably last longer.

Now the objective review:
While tae Yang may not have the traditional Korean good looks, he definitely has unique good looks about him and sex appeal. However, if he expects any longevity in the KPOP music industry he will have to work on his singing as it was uninspired and over-produced.  He may have potential as a singer but he my do better as an actor.
yes his dance moves are pretty good, but wouldn’t they be for his debut? Regardless, I’ve seen many singers that are much better dancers.  Also, in regard to his look.  It was too much like Rain’s look fro his 4th release, no? Tank top, baggy pants, rough look.  Well, maybe not exactly but he REALLY needs to try and distinguish himself from M and Bi and others instead of coming off as an amalgamation of them.  He should try harder to set himself apart...or rather, have his handlers work to set him apart.  Isn’t everyone getting sick of the manufactured pop stars?
As to the last comment in the article.  TY will of course appeal to many gay guys as he does happen to have that stereotypical look...especially the hair and the vest. Yes, I know, performers are eccentric, but the look does lend itself to the look I’ve seen popular in Korea in certain sub-cultures.  Is he gay? I have no idea, nor did I say he was.  But if he is...good luck.  Sucks to be gay in Korea....

I like his new song ‘Look At Me’,,, his performance reminds me of the time when Rain and Se7en were active performing in Korea… Solo performances were hit,,, now everyone needs back-up/groupmates to cover for them…

His dancing’s fine.  His debut songs were choreographed by an american choreographer who teaches at the Millenium Dance Complex (i.e. Wade Robson, Britney Spears, etc.)...The same guy who helped choreograph With U.  We know TaeYang (and BB for that matter) can dance and it just varies with whatever song they want to do.  And not only that, check out any of the Big Bang dance practices from their MTV show.  They’re really good and I’m sure some of you antis couldn’t even do half of what they can.

Someone has to be really jealous or blind to think that TY’s ugly.  Tastes differ but I know this guy looks way better than most asian guys I’ve seen in real life.  I don’t really like his hair or the clothes he’s wearing in those pics but his personality in addition to his sexiness is just amazing.
