seo taiji comeback

The '90s idol pop artist Seo Taiji will return in March with his 8th album. Prior to his 8th album however, he will release a 15th anniversary debut album on Nov. 29th, which will include new songs and allow him to reunite with fans after four long years.
The record industry, mired in a slump, is keen on his comeback. Plans on the 8th album release in March and a solo concert in December have reportedly been finalized. Yedang Entertainment is known to have coordinated the scheduling with Seo Taiji.
The concept of the new album is being kept a secret which is further raising fans' anticipation and curiosity. Attention is now focused on how Seo's new album will perform in the stagnant record market.
This guy just doesn't know when to call it quits, another comeback after 4 years? His last 7 albums were pretty much failures and his 8th will most likely follow the same path. Seo Taiji should've never left his boys back in the 90's and decide on going solo, instead he should've milked the industry while vocally challenged, scrawny losers were still accepted as teen idols.

I only liked the old school Seo Taiji & Boys, his solo albums were not so great… I hope this one isn’t a failure as well >_<

Nice. I wonder what the genre of his music will be. Probably Hard Rock
Nov 06, 2007 - 08:07 AM
His music isn’t my type, I hope that the Taiji Boys can get together and make some good music.
Nov 06, 2007 - 09:40 PM
I have yet to listen to his solo albums. Only Seotaji & Boys peeked my interest back then.
Nov 07, 2007 - 09:57 PM
Man he is holding up well...cant wait to hear his album

His last 7 albums were failures? How can that be when albums 1-4 where Taiji Boys which paved the way for kpop. Not to mention all his albums reached the million point mark. If you commented like that to make a joke its not funny.

^Actually, he has 7 solo albums and the 8th is upcoming. The 4 successful albums prior to his piece of shit solo’s were with the boys. Plain and simple answer on why his solo albums were failures: THEY SUCKED

1. Seo Tai Ji (1998), 2. Ultramania, 3. Taiji Live Concert Album, 4. Re-recording / ETPFest Live, 5. Live Wire, 6. Seo Taiji Live Tour Zero 04, 7. 15th year remeberance
No one is arguing that the Taiji Boys weren’t pivotal to shape what KPOP is today… but you can’t argue that his solo efforts weren’t nearly as successful as his prime with the Taiji Boys.

Taiji Boys > Seo Taiji......no doubt. He actually only has 3 solo albums so far the others are just rereleases and whatnot. His 6th and 7th topped a million in sales according to MIAK. His solo albums suck but yet Big Bang is totally awesome? Seems like someone just prefers boybands over solo efforts.

Records sales in Korea = large fan base, it has nothing to do with whether the album is good or bad. With that said, I prefer good music over bad - that is all.
Dec 23, 2007 - 09:33 PM
i think its going too far calling his solo albums failures
Jan 25, 2008 - 06:29 PM
I can’t wait for the album. I love all that stuff. Really easy to just turn on and listen straight through.
