The highly anticipated dance-off between Rain and Stephen Colbert finally aired on Monday, May 5th, 2008.

Rain who was spotted leaving the Colbert Report studios last week after filming the dance-off, finally made his grand debut on the show, featuring 4 well spoken English words: "I don't think so."

The 30 minute show kept the entire audience in suspense, as it consisted of Colbert repeatedly mentioning Rain in TIME as well as in Speed Racer. However, he continued to claim that Rain did not show and coined him as the NON-GUEST, fooling the viewers. Stephen Colbert wrapped up the show in typical fashion, with his trademark, "That's all for now," which then led to a skit, finally featuring the dance-off.

The pre-recorded skit was fairly entertaining, albeit a little corny. On the other hand, Rain was surprisingly normal looking, other than the skin tight Michael Jackson-esque pants.

Rain came and conquered, although defeating Colberts' "pop star" alter ego is about the equivalent of beating a special education student, or Se7en.

It was so funny, especially at the end when he runs after Rain.  But Colbert did have some movies.

I’m glad Rain put on some normal looking clothes. I couldn’t stand the outfit he wore during Speed Racer promo in HK. Those green pants.

Normal looking clothes?  I don’t think so.  Not for a 25 year old, anyway.  Those nice sliver pants and those old man looking shoes....all he needed was a ‘Members Only’ jacket and he would’ve been a perfectly dressed 50 year old.  Stuff my dad used to wear on an almost daily basis.

Dude needs to change his wardrobe.  Quick.

I think the cornieness made it even funny. I think it intentionally was supposed to be a knock-off of those cheesy over emotional scenes in dance-off movies. I don’t know what you talking about, I liked the clothes. Maybe cause I just like that kind of classic tailored style and the somewhat pointy high fashion shoe. Colbert was almost a match for Rain. Really funny.

Yeah, Rain’s hair looked nice.
Don’t know about the outfit though.

Sorry, but that really was classic tailored ‘old man’ style.  Old dudes here wear shiny slacks, ‘old man’ shoes, not young ones.  Come to think of it, I’ve seen those same shoes and slacks on the old deacons at my church!

I could pick out those SAME shiny slacks and shoes out my dad’s closet.  *shrugs*

If you like, though, you like it.  He sloppy or anything, just had on old mannish looking slacks and shoes.

But then again, I notice Korea has a healthy obsession with ‘bright and shiny’ slacks/suits and such.  *giggles*

I mean, ‘he wasn’t sloppy or anything....’ LOL!

lol the appearence was funny as hell. Too bad Rain used a chearography he did like since he debut and just added a little stuff. Colbert was kick ass as usual. Overall it was great. But what’s with the se7en comment, lol stop trying force fan girls to get pissed off...it was a great article, but that last thing was just stupid.

Ahahaha! I LOVED it. Colbert is just too funny, and Rain’s one line was well spoken.

XDD Colbert is a really good dancer for someone his age and his lack of training.

^ I agree with you voyager XD.
I’m surprised Colbert is that flexible at his age. Though I don’t think the tight red pants were necessary. XDD
Thanks for posting the video up!(:

Most of the clothes Rain is wearing at the premieres, etc. are Gucci and the latest from the fashion runways.  They are very much the latest in style.

funniest thing ever........ but why can’t Rain use another dance routine?  seems to me that he uses the same ones over and over, I mean I know dude can dance, but if he wants to make a name for himself in this country, it’s probably a good idea to change for the better.

@ Lana

Well, at least he wore clothes for, in your opinion, 50-year old MEN. He lost the man scarves and green pants - which made him look like a trannie or gender-confused person.

I’d take 50-year old men outfits anyday. He looked like a MAN on the Colbert show.

i though it was cute!! It was funny too just cause it was colbert...and i like how he kept saying all he REALLY wanted to do was cuddle with rain...and some korean people took offense to the “battle”! It was the best thing (and teh best person) that could’ve been done to promote Hallyu!!

THANKS COLBERT!!
