JOO is Trying Too Hard

Sub-par singer Joo went from ballads to dance songs to see if it'll help her gain a few fans. Unfortunately, everybody still hates her and the performance was kind of like a Chinese knock-off.

On a recent episode of Mnet 'M Countdown', Joo performed Boa's single, 'My Name'. She sang and danced, unlike her normal stand-still performances, and wore an outfit that was similar to the one that Boa wore in her music video. The audience gave Joo a round of applause or rather pity, for her futile attempt at being Boa.

After failing at her own songs, then failing at a remake of J's single, 'Like Yesterday', and failing, yet AGAIN, in Mighty Mouth's performance, I don't think this performance is going to make much of a difference. A suggestion for Joo, TAKE A BREAK; not like anyone's gonna miss, or so much as notice her absence.

Not the worst song I’ve heard. I certainly wouldn’t miss her though. Unless she is cheap and easy.

It’s not horrible… but why cover a song if you’re not going to sing it live? I wouldn’t miss her… I’m not too fond of her voice or even her songs.

I’m not even a fan of Joo’s, but damn this was uncalled for...people are always on hater mode when anyone performs Boa’s stuff.. i don’t get whats all this fuss about, since Boa isn’t really all that impressive… Joo shouldn’t even sing that retarded song in the first place… blah

it wasn’t that bad - the singing and dancing - but she’s not even close to boa. and she looks like a 13 year old. no energy in the performance, though, and it wasn’t even live

FYI vertigo, I’m not a fan of Boa. She sucks just as bad as Joo (or vice versa).

Hahahaha, it’s okay Ch0 unni, at least you weren’t nasty about it… *Twitch* ~~though I already sorta knew~~

Plus, I hate Bi but TheProdigy likes him lots… so I guess we’re gonna have to get used to these things since we work together. Just like how Mitch unni loves Big Bang and… well you catch my drift :D

Is she singing that song? At the beginning of her singing, she looks like she stops a couple times and her lips didn’t match the song being song. Is she lip syncing?

the caption is mean >< dont worry I have nothing too XD Hmmm she actually sounds ok in this. I dont really like her voice though its like a mice o.O Funny how in one part of the song it says “I got to make it” oh the irony ><

When I saw this yesterday, I didn’t think it was THAT bad. Her voice was okay, but her charisma is totally diff from BoA… This song is supposed to be sexy, strong, and seductive. Joo is as sexy and seductive as a 12 year old to a pedo… wait…

wtf..why is she smiling throughout the song?! Her dancing was okay, but her singing and the way she performs just..sucks.

that performance is horrible, i mean that joo must be in jail, she ruined the song, the dance was totally plane and the singing too soft for the song. How she dares to cover a Boa’s song (specially that one)

Oh how many people have dubbed artists as the second BoA. Joo needs a new makeover. Doing a cover song of BoA is not something everyone can do. BoA doesnt have all the vocals but she does have the charisma . Joo should return back to training

I dont know which is more pathetic. the fact that she is touching her unvisible chest to get some attention or the fact that she keeps trying even though she fails all the time.

All these kind of things make me miss the real BOA.
Come on, why did Joo perform this song? She looks like a kid who wants to be a sexy woman. Her childish voice didn’t match at all the song. Boa has a strong voice and her little voice sounds pitiful.
At least she got the dance steps right, but without any energy and yet she couldn’t follow the lyrics.

I’m not really annoyed Joo for taking BoA’s song...I could care less. But really, her lack of stage presence and the fact that she looks likea freaking ten-year-old wannabe annoys the heck out of me.
