DBSK / TVXQ Micky Says NO to Fans

TVXQ / DBSK member Micky Yoochun celebrated his 23rd birthday with fans on the 7th at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

Although Micky's birthday was on the 4th, he celebrated it on the 7th due to a concert in Japan. The fans presented Micky with lots of expensive gifts, however he turned them all down.

An SM Entertainment Representative stated, "The majority of fans are very young, and they purchased gifts that were way too expensive, that's probably the reason why Micky turned them down." The SM Entertainment Representative continued, "Instead of purchasing such expensive gifts though, the greatest gift fans can give the TVXQ members, would be listening to and supporting TVXQ's new album, which is planned for release in August."

At least DBSK cares about their fans and their treasures (gifts) unlike F.T. Island. But I also can see why F.T. Island trashed their hotel room. I mean their fans gave them pretty crappy gifts - WOW, thanks for the crayons & magic markers... what awesome treasures. While Cassiopeia members go the extra mile and buy gifts that are actually worth keeping.

In other news, DBSK is currently in Beijing, China for the last stop of their Asia 2nd "O" Concert Tour. Here's a video of them leaving the Incheon airport:

Wow, that’s really thoughtful of him
If it were probably anyone else, they would have taken the gifts.
I would be guilty of that too hehehe. -_- *ashamed*

awww Yoochun is such a sweetie pie. Cassiopeia is always so thoughtful. I would’ve gotten him something expensive too if I was in Korea lol. >_< even though I’m broke as hell.
but it’s nice to know that they care about their fans.

That was nice of him<3333
Seriously though, those fans, no matter how much they love TVXQ (which is a good thing<3) needs to stop sending them expensive gifts cause it’s a waste of money since they always rejects them
But that was lovely for the cassie’s to do that ^--^

They got him expensive audio equipments and all that jazz. Yoochun only kept the drinks and snacks lol. Yunho also refused to accept those gifts last time. I feel bad for the fans, but sheesh, why do they keep giving the guys these expensive things knowing they will reject them?

Wait, they are releasing their 4th Korean album in August? That’s a bit early seeing how they still have to do promotions for their new July single and A-Nation runs to the very end of August. SM needs to give these guys some rest time before starting their Korean promotional activities. Those deathly Korean promotions are extremely strenuous.

I heard Micky turned down gifts that were worth over $10,000.00.  Cassiopeia just love these boys too much.  They can show how much they love their boys by buying as many of their albums as there are members in their fanclub.  That gift would be alot more meaningful than the hords of electronic equipment that they get every year.

It just proves how many girls need a boyfriend, quick.

Seriously, it’s great that they love DBSK, but they can’t expect that anything will turn up because they give him expensive gifts.
Those crazy fangirls need a reality check.

Wow Micky is so great! They usually get really expensive gifts, don’t they? I heard that their fans bought them a PS3 0.o

I mean, gifts like that are great and all but I agree that supporting them by buying their album would be the best gift of all.

DBSK is just turning all their gifts down...they give them expensive stuffs...like the above mentioned a mac laptop, drum set, electric guitar, and those kind of petty stuffs...those girls should just give it to charities and buy their albums and their merchandise...I actually bought stuffs for Jae’s bday before when I went to London (the gifts were from my favorite boutique shop...it’s a gothic shop...ahaha...but jae wore some of those stuffs) and some stuffs for the other members...but some Cassies told me that I can’t send them gifts since I’m not a registered Cassiopeia...and God forbids, I don’t wish to be one...so, I gave it away…
so, I just didn’t try...I’ll just support them and buy their albums, singles, photobooks, DVD’s etc…
and they showed some stuffs for Changmin’s bday, too...there was a laptop, electric guitar, speakers, and etc…

omg where do these kids get their money?  I hope they’re not whoring themselves, that’ll just make the fanclub culture a little sadder =/.  Didn’t Yunho tell them to donate to charity last year?  omg, if the Elves had this kind of money it’d be 13 forever =D, they’d freakin own SM Entertainment.

Yoochun is right. BUY THEIR ALBUM DAMNIT.  I can’t emphasize on how important that is and it seems like cassiopeia doesn’t seem to get it.  u have 800,000 fans but the highest selling album only sold 400,000. That’s sad, really.

onliadreamer : cassiopeia has 800,000 members.  if one fan donates 1$, how much do we get??

It’s crazy to buy a RICH person gifts that you can’t even afford to buy yourself.  Any artist will tell you that the best way to show support and love is to buy their music and their products.  Not buy them gifts, like their poor and don’t have anything.

@junsufan...true...why don’t they save funds to buy their albums?...isn’t that what clubs suppose to be doing? and they’re a fan club...and to have just 400, 000 of those to buy their album is sad...so does that mean that half downloads it illegally?
and I think you should just go on and register, too...ahehe...not that I’m trespassing on your own private life...it’s just that you’re always here and leave comments…

28.  missy
Jun 12, 2008 - 09:13 PM

Hmm. International fans rely on English websites to help DBSK on Oricon, something I assume Cassiopeias would probably have a hard time with. Unless those Korean fans take a little trip to HMV Towers in Japan, then it’s probably hard for them to buy Tohoshinki CDs.

@Hiroshi...Cassies are for Dong Bang Shin Ki...I don’t think they have the responsibility of taking care of Tohoshinki… Tohoshinki risks their career in Korea by going to Japan...those Cassies could have turn them down, they were gone for more than a year now, there were a lot of other bands popping out...I think...It’s enough staying with them and making them stronger...If not because of those Cassies, DBSK will be nothing in Korea…
and they could have gain success by themselves in Japan without Cassies support, not without but less. What are the Big East for? Props? Big East is there for Tohoshinki…
and I as an International fan, will take the responsibility of helping them reach the top in Oricon...that’s all I can do anyway...ahaha...since I can’t always go to their concerts…
and why would Koreans listen to their Japanese songs when they’re originally Koreans? Unless, they like their Japanese songs, understand it, and moreover accept it…
and there are two sites that I know that contributes to the Oricon Chart..HMVJapan and CDJapan...that’s where I get my CD’s^^

^^^^^ i think thats the good thing about being an international fan who cant understand EITHER language^^ lol
you buy BOTH. korean AND japanese releases.
cause you wouldnt care which one to get cause you dont understand either anyways^^ thats what i do atleast....

33.  crystal199187

yeah,i agree with him..
fans should just support them by buying their albums…
they can also make handmade gift to them cos it’s more memorable..
talking about memorable gifts,i flashback de time when GD from BB says he received a porn tape made by a fan...lol...some fans are reali crazy…
anyway, fans dun reali need to buy expensive gifts for their idols since their idols most probably could afford buying it by themselves…

Chunnie is reading a page from Yunho, eh. i understand though why the need to turn down. at this point, he can probably afford those gifts. so for fans, why not just spend the money on the albums. it helps them more. I think Jaejoong loves receiving gifts though. he seems to wear fan gifts a lot.

36.  missy

From what I’ve observed, the boys tend to keep t-shirts, necklaces, hats, CDs and such. Yunho was spotted wearing a Hollister shirt given to him from a fan after they returned from the Hollywood Bowl. haha

During my last trip to Bangkok where the boys were for the Yamaha event, I have truly learnt that they DO NOT any of the stalkerazzis/expensive gifts. Maybe in the early days when they were not able to afford some of these things so these offerings appealed to them but now they are more burdened by the feeling of owing-the-fan.

What happened to just loving artists for their music???

39.  BPKozier
Jun 12, 2008 - 11:02 PM

They usually return the more expensive gifts and keep the shirts, hats and accessories-although all five share them. You often see them wearing the same stuff!XD

I agree that fans should show their love for them (and any other artist) by buying their albums legitimately and not resort to illegal downloading-a really big menace in Korea. It has become more difficult for popular artists to sell 100,000 copies for the last four to five years because of this problem. Its slowly killing their industry.

i’m glad he gave up the gifts and everything but really its not like he did some amazing kind act, tvxq is so rich that if micky ever wanted anything like that he could always just buy it himself so theres no need for him to get gifts from the fans that are expensive. people are so materialistic, why don’t fans just buy their favorite artists cd’s and stuff then they wouldn’t have to deal with all the korean stars leaving them to go promote themselves in japan.

with all the money cassiopeia has, they should donate to charity in the name of dbsk, do something good like when they all volunteered to clean up the oil spill last time.
