cuz Japan isnt their native, of course they might have 40% out of 100% to win but let’s face it, if Kat-Tun are DBSK’s saturation, are they gonna be win in Korea?? or are they gonna be #1 in every week in Korea like DBSK does in Japan? I don’t think so… to be honest, i don’t even know who is Kat-Tun and never heard of it before…and now I heard of them but don’t care… no offense, if Kat-Tun is too powerful why they are not in Tops Oricon Weekly For the Fifth Times or MORE….
so actually DBSK’s the one who has the most talent group out of Asia…nobody can do like DBSK doing now… so if Kat-Tun win, still DBSK’s the Best.. if DBSK win, they deserve it… this competition is meaning less for DBSK since they are not Japanese…

Actually, many Japanese artists have more #1s on the daily, weekly, and montly Oricon chart than DBSK. DBSK hold the record for most #1s single FOR A FOREIGN GROUP. As a matter of fact, Kinki Kids (a duo from JE) hold the Guinness Record for having 26 consecutive #1 singles.

Regarding Kat-tun, “Currently one of the most popular boy bands in Japan, all eight singles, three studio albums and six DVDs released by the group since their debut in 2006 have debuted at number one on the Oricon music and DVD charts.” (source: Kat-tun’s wiki). Kat-tun’s debut single “Real Face” actually sold over a million copies, so they’re huge in Japan.

as much as i LOVE dbsk, kat-tun is just too big a presence.

of course Kat-tun is going to beat out DBSK.  Kattun’s sales are always over 100,000.  DBSK has a hard time hitting 100,000 copies each time.  i listened to DBSK’s new song and I don’t think it is going to do well.  Not a lot of people are going to buy their new single because their next full album is released the next week.  Kattun is going to drop a bomb on DBSK.  I’m pretty surprise that DBSK doesn’t do as well as they should because they have Cassiopeia, Bigeast, and A LOT OF INTERNATIONAL FANS.  They have millions of fans, but they were only able to sell that much.  Oh well.  Good things come and good things go.

Actually, KAT-TUN has topped the Oricon Weekly for every single, album, & DVD’s they’ve released ever since their debut, and even before their debut for their pre-debut DVD release. They also broke the record when their debut single hit the million mark and became the only million seller single for the year 2006, and was awarded Single of the Year by Oricon.

I’m a fan of both, and, to be honest, I think DBSK is more talented (when it comes to singing/dancing) than any JE group there is, but I don’t think they can win against KAT-TUN just because KAT-TUN has a bigger fanbase in Japan, and JE tends to dominate over some shows. Give DBSK a few more years to grow (in fanbase) then maybe they can start competing with JE’s sales. Both groups have consecutive #1’s so I doubt they’ll give that up without a fight.. as much as we already know what the result will be. :/

no way! they’re going to go up against kat-tun? i tought this day would never come… does avex really think they’re ready? shouldn’t they start out small? i bet they’re going to change the date of the single release… i mean kat-tun is the biggest idol group in japan!

Yeah fighting with Kat-Tun is even No-No for any famous japanese artists.  But it’s not that Avex think DBSK is ready to fight with Kat-Tun.  It’s more like Avex think THSK should go for the real career, no more making news and records to get people’s attention.

plus if they release it later isn’t that when arashi release there next single it is about time they get some competition in terms of sales plus i know alot of people do not like kat-tun but they are really entertaining (i went to their tokyo dome performance and it wasn’t that bad)

Personally for me as well, it’s getting less exciting…They’ve beaten everyone in Korea! They keep on getting number 1s…I’m happy for them but I think they’ll be bored as well because they have no one to go against…Now they have KAT-TUN who really can’t sing but still rule Japan because JE is Japan’s version of SM, only more powerful.

It’s a shame they won’t beat KAT-TUN this time but the boys will try over and over again until they do, even just once!

I’m a fan of both THSK and KAT-TUN but THSK is number 1 for me. I’m glad that THSK will be facing KAT-TUN on their next single. It doesn’t matter if they rank #2 or #3 as long as they prove us that they are not afraid a JE boyband to compete with.

I just hope they’ll exceed 100K during their first week of competing with KAT-TUN. That’s my only wish for their next single.

JE is so unstopable in Japan..

There is absolutely NO WAY they’re going to beat KAT-TUN. TVXQ may have been getting 1st place lately but it’s because their competition is weak. Actually, the units they sell aren’t as much compared to other popular artists in Japan like TVXQ may sell around 40k-90k at most their first week while it’s standard for KAT-TUN to sell over 300k their first week. They’re doing well for foreigners, though.

yes well..like 50 other people said before me, we know what the outcome will be..Tvxq is the talented group,singing, dancing etc, but kat-tun the idol group,has the fans and everything else..they’ll win the sales 100%...kattun ALWAYS sells over 100thousand,200th…so there’ll be no competition from tvxq, but atleast i know tvxq’s song is better, cause they actually have the talent, not only the looks what sells!!!

but dbsk’s been going on the right track coz their fanbase has obviously growing and they’ve been invited to Kohaku etc, who knows maybe this year they can hold a concert in tokyo dome

erm.. I’m getting irked by constant bashing of kat-tun. Although I kinda hate them when they debut(not so much now), I still can acknowledge their talents. What is talent actually? Its subjective. There must be something that they do right that can attract many people to like them and their music. Each to their own..

KATTUN will defeat TVXQ for sure. But even if the others have said that this is good and gives an opportunity to the boys to try harder…still doesn’t beat the fact that this is a pretty nerve wracking competition. Seeing them reach so high yet fall again…even if it’ll be for improvement, well, that won’t really feel good now, would it?

For someone who asks why Kat-tun is popular. Easy: they promote since they are 10 or so by getting involve with their sempai concert.
Why JE rules? He sells sex symbols. It took 5 years for DBSK to start stripping, but JE boys have been doing that since the day they were debut and if you see their photobooks it full with topless pic.

Kattun will defeat DBSK. But I’m good with that. Actually at the time the singles was release they are up againts Aqua Times. People who buy japanese singles is either Bigeast of International fans. Cassiopea don’t buy japanese singles, first it was too expensive compared to ordinary cd release on Korea, and second they rather wait for the album to release.

both KT and Greeeen have big tie-ins while THSK always has little promotion *sigh*

And what’s wrong being constantly on no.1 spot. It means you are good and keep being good.

This is why people are depressed, you put so much pressure on them. If you don’t like the news, skip it. Continue support your own artist, no matter what it is.

DBSK is getting really BORING for me

KAT-TUN may not be as good as dbsk in singing or dancing, but i think they’re the better entertainers. their concerts are awesome! i also feel that they’re more versatile and laid back…which i really like

i wish DBSK will do good, but i’m rooting for KAT-TUN on this one just coz i like them more ^_^

Wou KAT-TUN is really difficult, they get instantly top 1 in the oricon… they are “Idols” in Japan, Dong Bang Shin Ki are not considered like that (I really love that, they are arthist there) KAT-TUN… ou But I believe in them, not saying that they have to do it, I just want them to do it. The best for them, I like KAT-TUN but I don’t think that they are better than the DBSK boys

obviously dbsk is waaay better than kat-tun. i’m not saying just because i’m a fangirl. je boys only have average voice and focus only in acting, but dbsk focuses only in music (and dancing). and that makes dbsk better.

but either way, we know that the japanese been fed by this crapy je boys every single day. so, it’s gonna be a stiff competition between them.

KAT-TUN versus DBSK, that’s like big bang versus dbsk. cept that, dbsk is taking the role of big bang in the latter battle.

JE groups usually rank high because most of their songs are tie ins with doramas.  I mean I love Arashi but if you talent TVXQ wins by a landslide.  Man the real competition is Berry Koubou! xxDDD Watch out JE and TVXQ!!!

for those who said it’s a bad move for AVEX to make THSK compete againts Kat-tun n Greeen..but for me its the time, the time to prove themselves. time to prove that they could break the record not only theirs but also the others..isnt THSK have the biggest fanbase in the world..but when it come to their album sales,.. it such a disappointments ..so where are those fans..Kat-tun is in fact sucks in singin but their single could reach million in japan alone..and they dont even need the biggest fanbase in the world.. it could not be denied that THSK is a group with a whole package but for me they tryin too hard in japan..they had release lots of singles in japan but none of it sound the best to me..

my opinion on JE. they know how to make a mediocre product look good. and i know it won’t happen but, i really wish THSK would get the prize this time around.

Well… that does add some excitement to the monotony; DBSK up against Kat-Tun. Perhaps it was intentional… see how the different fans react… it should definitly be iteresting to see the charts for those days/weeks.

But I disagree at the ‘boring’ factor. I think it’s completely amazing that they jut keep going up and up! They deserve it! I keep thinking of all of these singes/groups that have mediocre talent at best… but when it comes to TVXQ, HULLO! They’re number one for a reason!  They’re amazing! vocals, dancing, composition, stage presence, photogenic, charismatic, really, it’s going to be hard to top them… I find it rather amusing when other artists compare themselves to TVXQ, and want to strive for the same goals, or break records (SHINee was just too adorable every time they mentioned wanting to beat one of TVXQs records) And they’re good goals to strive for! If everyone wanted to be the best, the music industry would be filled with talent, rather than aesthetically pleasing lip synchers…

Well… anyway, this really should get interesting… I can’t wait to see how it goes!!

Ohh I think that ARASHI have one single or album? that days… maybe is better to compite with KAT-TUN than ARASHI =o maybe that is wath AVEX thinking? (I’m not sure about the ARASHI think, someone knows? )
