YAY!!! DBSK’s awesome!!! I wonder who will beat their record and how long it’ll take them since it took 23 years until DBSK beat the old record.

As much as I love DBSK, it’s a no brainer if they are up agaisnt Kat-tun. Kat-tun will get number 1, just because they are JE and JE owns Japan, end of story. JE sell twice more than any other artist besides maybe Exile or Ayumi. I won’t go into who is more talented because it’s obvious (I cringe whenever I listen to Kat-tun sing… anything.)

I’m kind of bored now.

Yup, I guess they really deserve after spending so much efforts and time in Japan. But yeah, the real test comes when they’re up against the JE boys.. and I certainly hope they’d do well..

nope, they wont. Im sorry Im a fan of both groups, and vocally, I think TVXQ is better, but in Japan ... Johnny’s is RULE ... I mean geeze, each single KAT-TUN has released on first day alone sells almost 100,000 copies ... and by the end of teh week, more than 200,000 copies ... so unless BIGEAST grows within the next 2 months, it wont happen. Im buying both singles though. I though I was the only one who noticed that too ... Im glad u brought it up ^_^

DBSK’s sales are gradually increasing with each new release. They sold almost 90k copies of Bolero in their first week, but they won’t able to outsell KAT-TUN.. maybe later, but not now, not yet. Ranking 2nd in sales behind a JE group isn’t so bad. Besides, at least they’re competing against KAT-TUN and not Arashi. D: Arashi has killer sales.

i feel sad to say that yes kattun will most likely beat our beloved dbsk. i tried to like kattun, tried so hard to like their music, didn’t succeed.

All the fans know the result.  DBSK’s status won’t change, eventhough they will definitely get no.2 or even 3 or 4 this time(because the album will be release the following week.) It already becomes the funny fact that they can’t be allowed to perform at MS.

I like both DBSK and KAT-TUN(My Bakanishi!!...droool.. Well, may the best win!!!

JE is just tooo powerful in japan. but i always look at it this way. DBSK is korean, but they are in another country and they are achieving success like no other koreans(expect for boa). if it was the other way around…. something like if kat-tun came to korea…...lols then we would know whos gonna own. but good luck to both groups. but still kat-tun will get that top spot.

KAT TUN will pwn… simply because they are cute idols who can’t sing/dance for their life who just happens to belong to JE. IF DBSK sells more than KAT TUN… we’ll definitely see a pissed-off JE, and I’ll never get to see DBSK on Music Station… :(

Truly, this is a great feat.  It’s not about “breaking a record” anymore but about being #1 and being consistent.  Sometimes, I think that people forget that the Japanese music market is the second largest in the world and that if you thought Korea’s music market fought ugly, you completely forgot about the U.S. and Japan.  The more money there is at stake, the more cutthroat the business becomes, and seeing as Japan is ranked 2nd and Korea isn’t even in the top 20, it’s really a great feat even for Japanese artists.

At (38), Johnny’s Entertainment is popular because they entertain.  It’s really as simple as that.  Even though they aren’t strong singers, they stand out because they’re young, they’re flashy and they know how to entertain a crowd.  Johnny’s Entertainment has its hand in many advertisements and shows, as well as consistent live shows.  People like them because they’re familiar and relatable, showing versatility in acting, singing(kind of), dancing(they’re like acrobats), hosting shows, and doing tons of gag sketches.

lols you guys ask why JE groups are so popular in japan?? easy….well juniors in JE usaully start from acting to get more attention, then they do some dancing and singing in large scare concerts. Mostly in JE senior group concerts, such as arashi, kat-tun etc. And they dont debut untill they gain a level of fans. For the senior groups, some might continue acting in darmas, and most likely when a JE guy is the lead role for that drama the theme song is sung by the lead actors group. And by that the song would be soon release as a single. JE groups are really entertainers. They know how to wrok a large amount of adience. And JE is all about promotion also. Je certainly does it really well. if not maybe the best when it comes to promotion. Je groups might not be the best of dancers or singers and dont have the greatest songs, but they have very good promotion.
