i think johnny’s is like a japanese version of SM. only..from what i’ve heard/read, johnny’s is alot worse. like apparently if you think SM artists are taken way advantage of/overworked and that lee soo man is a fucking monster, johnny and his artists are 100000000x that. someone correct me if i’m wrong.
and i don’t think SM has actually gotten a singer/band BANNED from any network…

i know that dbsk is talented as hell but i think someone pointed out that johnny’s bands get #1 regardless of the competetion? i hate to be the one to burst any fangirl bubbles…but hasn’t tohoshinki released their singles on dates wehre they know there shouldn’t be that much competition? isn’t that why thsi recent one was released earlier…?

@ leelee, everything you said was right (from what I know anyway). Johnny Ent. is the SM of Japan. Over time, SM will be just like them though. Something else you said was true too. TVXQ releases their albums/singles around very convenient times because they know if they go against a more popular group they won’t rank as high. I’m glad about their success and I LOVE them but I think Johnny Ent. could care less about them. They sell hundreds of thousands of singles. They’re too busy counting their money to care about threats to their artists.

leelee, you are right about the TVXQ releases. Avex decided to move their release date one week earlier so they would not have to release with big competition. If they had released the first release date, they would’ve gotten #3 (as Hey!Say!JUMP and aiko have sold 150k and 70k this week).

Yeah, it sucks that TVXQ (or any other group) can’t appear on Music Station, but it makes a lot of sense. MS is basically owned by JE. Why would they help promote their own competition? It’s all about business.

Besides, DBSK doesn’t need to appear on the show to continue being popular. They’re rising as we speak. And MS is boring anyways. I’d rather watch them on Heyx3. :D

So why would Japanese artists wanna go to Korea. Lol about Japanese artists not being able to get any support in Korea, anybody else remember Yamapi getting mauled by Korean fans. whatev.

Anywho I agree that DBSK has tons more talent than most Johnny’s (exception of Tokio and Arashi-personal preference lol).  But in the end it’s Japan, and Johnny’s has a lot of power, and the emaciated Japanese boy look will always be popular in Japan, lol.

I’m not a huge DBSK fan but i can say that they definitely have more talent and influence on asian pop culture than Johnny’s though I do love K8…wouldn’t be surprised if Johnny-san did have a secret pact cuz he is really shady and a pedo :/

If this is true, then it explained everything. I am a big fan of music station but I always wonder why DBSK is not on the show. Well, they did showed up at music station once, but with Koda Kumi. They performed Last Angel. No wonder there are always Johnny’s boys on the show a lot.

well, I’m both jpop and kpop fan.. and I’m sad to see too many je bashing going on here. but what can you expect from kpop community who some of them dont even know je ent.

actually they are not that bad. although dbsk is better in the singing dept but I rather watch them than dbsk. imo they have much more stage presence on concert and tv shows. idk

for this issue, not only dbsk that arent invited on MS. a lot jpop boybands (some that are much bigger than dbsk in jpn) also face the same thing. so dbsk fans.. dont get too excited with this. its nothing special. this info is already long well known in jpop community

Well i’m glad that this shows that DBSK is more popular but it’s still unfair. and yea JE Entertainment isn’t bad i mean NEWS and ARASHI are cool lol but i don’t like the other groups JE has. that’s right… they are a threat. i’ll even admit, i used to be a fan of kat-tun. on youtube, i found some video comparing the two groups; obviously stating that tvxq was better and ever since i haven’t listened to kat-tun.

but a couple weeks ago, i listened to kat-tun’s new song or something and i couldn’t hold in my laughter. they seem like a joke compared to them.

to leelee: the toho boys did once get head-to-head with a JE group. it was Summer Dream. they topped the JEkids for the daily but only came in 2nd for weekly.
im a die-hard fan who’s mostly blinded by biasedness; but i can admit that Toho still cant compete [at least not yet] with the major JE groups like NewS, kattun, etc. so yeah, I dont think they’ve released a single in same week as those groups mentioned.
