Tohoshinki invited to Kohaku

Back in October, we reported the rumor that Tohoshinki / TVXQ / DBSK would be invited to Kohaku. A reminder on what Kohaku is from Wikipedia:
KÅhaku Uta Gassen more commonly known as simply KÅhaku, is an annual music show on the New Year's Eve produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK and broadcast on both television and radio, nationally and internationally by NHK's networks and some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters which bought the program... Literally "Red and White Song Battle," the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The "red" team or akagumi is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the "white" team or shirogumi is all male (or groups with male vocals). The honor of performing on KÅhaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-POP artists and enka singers can perform. Even today, a performance on KÅhaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer's career because of the show's large reach.
Maybe next time people will start believing some of the rumors we post up. Here's another rumor, TVXQ is supposedly releasing a new Japanese single on January 21, 2009. It'll contain the same lyrics as Mirotic except they'll change "I got youuuuuuuu under my skin" to "I got youuuuuuuu under my bed's blankets" ... ok, I made the latter part up. (Corny like Johnny is Horny)
This is supposedly a big deal, and honor. If it gives me more money in my pockets and a better chance to get with these nippon hotties in Japan then I agree that it is a very big deal. Hey baby I'm invited to Kohaku, Oh Sugoi~! A great position to be in and an even better position would be with a room full of nippon hotties in a tokyo hotel (getting some Kimochi from Kimchee).

Congrats to the guys! x3
And to clear some things up…
BoA’s been on Kouhaku many times (she probably declined this year because of her other activities) and this is Mr. Children’s first year because they declined all the other times. SMAP and TOKIO are from Johnny’s and the reason the other groups can’t go to Kouhaku is that they have their own Johnny’s Countdown concert to attend to. Many artists have performed in Tokyo Dome but they’re all very successful ones.
