If you had just said, “Wow…Heechul, that’s really gay of you” or “He’s secretly a woman”, or “That’s just really weird”, I would have no problem. And just because the status quo shuns homosexuality, especially male homosexuality, its still very wrong for you to say such things. I’m a pretty conservative Christian, but I certainly know that some things aren’t right and shouldn’t be said.

If you recognize that there’s a double standard, you really shouldn’t go about furthering it. And it certainly doesn’t make it right. By saying things like that, you are basically saying it’s okay to call gay men “faggots” and “queers” and to demean them and hate them and further this “fear of gays” mentality. Saying you don’t understand is one thing, but calling it disgusting is a form of hate. If you want to joke about it, fine, but you shouldn’t make it a negative.

KPop is conservative, sure, banned “Mirotic” and all that, but it doesn’t excuse YOUR choice of language. Please don’t further the bigotry that already exists. Words have impact, and I hope you at least see that.

I’m not a fan of Heechul and I don’t care if he’s gay.  From the perf, he did try to act like J-rock and copy the male-male kissing scence, similar to Bada/OnJuWan or TOP/Hyori that copy the kissing act from ameican artists.  It’s just an act on stage to please people. I didn’t blindly side heechul, because personally I don’t like most kinds of kiss on the real stage. It’s like..come on, that’s no need.
