That’s cool. I like SS501 but yeah i agree.. KHJ can’t really take all the credit. As a group, they did a good job in supporting each other so they shouldn’t really focus all the attention to Leader. All though he did have popular shows and all if the other 4 didn’t back him up it won’t be as successful.

You can’t blame HJL for the media giving him the spotlight. It’s not like he’s saying “LOOK PEOPLE, I AM THE REASON WHY SS501 IS SO GREAT.” Fingers should be pointed at the media for getting their facts wrong.

however kim hyun joong is not the source of their success without the othe rmemebers he would of debuted with the group and he might not of been as popular plus all the othe rmembers are hwat makes the group unique so hes not the source of their sucess

Kim Hyun Joong is not the greatest leader imo, he just got well known thanks to an overhyped character in an overhyped show . He’s not even the best looking of the bunch lol.

I really love SS501, and actually love all the members individually aswell, but hyunjoong getting all the limelight is starting to grate on me… Its not his fault though, its the media. In korea they like to place emphasis on just ONE member as being the standout. during wonder girl’s Tell Me it was all about sohee, back when SNSD debuted it was all about tiffany, when 2pm came out everyone seemed to really like nich khun. i guess hyunjoong is just the current golden boy of the group, but i actually think some of the other members are more fun/interesting. i like him but… his acting in BOF was so wooden… like a plank of wood… same expression. and yeah, some of their noses look different 0_o

Good for them! IT IS TRUE that HJ’s popularity brings a lot of benefit to SS501. Not that other members do not contribute to the fame, but leader’s success is also the group’s advantage. THERE ARE LOTS, LOTS OF NEW FANS CAME TO KNOW THE EXISTENT OF SS501 ONLY THROUGH HJL. There are tons of comments like that on Youtube, or any other SS501 website.

i think this article was a little harsh on HJL.
I know i can be Hyunjoong biased sometimes but, i think that its the media who puts the lime light on him. The other members are succesful as well, in their fields.HJ may have more attention but it helps SS501 get more attention too.

He maybe the most popular but he is NOTHING without the boys.
I’ve had enough with the “hyunnies” and ignorant people who only see him and not the ones he is part of. I’ve ignore all those who have thought of it and has labeled it as Kim Hyun Joong and SS501. HELLO it’s not SS401 feat Kim Hyun Joong.
As a Triple S member this is insult and will not be taken likely among our members.
Each member has their own greatness and talent that has helped put where 501 is. And that’s what 501 stands for. FIVE FOREVER AS ONE. KBS needs to get their shit right.

Kim Hyun Joong is like the Eric Mun of SS501. He brings the attention to the group but he lets the boys have the limelight when they are together as a group. And even when promoting for BOF he always introduced himself as “SS501’s Leader Kim Hyun Joong”...he’s a good leader and the rest of the boys are very talented as well. I did not know the boys until I saw hyun joong in WGM and now i like all of them as a group.
