Hey AllKPop, I know you guys are amateur journalists right now, and are trying to expand, and I support that and everything, but your skewed coverage is getting pretty blatant now.

You’re not as honest and open about your true opinions on events and performers like Se7en, because they’re giving you access.  So you basically have to be disingenuous and support them through the media. Or else you lose your access.  I’ve noticed this not just with Se7en, but also with JYP, Wondergirls.

I’m not saying it’s wrong or anything.  This is just how the media business works.  Media outlets pose as objective 3rd parties, and watchdogs for regular people, but end up being shills for the people, companies, things, they cover because they need to maintain their access.

It’s just that it’s blatantly obvious with the language you use in writing up the recent pieces on people like Se7en.  Just a few months ago, you guys were dissing Se7en pretty bad.  Now you’re saying that he “rocked the house.”  The more established media tends to be more discreet about this, and less blatant, but they do the same thing so I can’t really blame you guys.

^ lol then why write an essay on it? they have already admitted their bias on several occasions, and don’t seem to care.

@20: they aren’t hypocrites. AKP has actually moved on to bigger and better things. They aren’t just a small blog anymore. Yea, they make fun of pretty much everybody (especially since they’ve gotten a whole bunch of new writers which evens out the different views) but it would be pretty stupid to make fun of someone they’re working with. It’s the same thing with talk show hosts like Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan, etc. They make jokes about people all the time but when they are a guest they are respectful (most of the time). It’s a business. People love to read humorous and controversial things. That’s what brings in the reader/viewers/whatever.

we’re not going to bash on an event that was successful just for the hell of it… just look at the video, it was a packed house. se7en had a shaky start, but things are going well now and he’s got a lot of industry support.  there’s lots of things going on behind the scenes regarding se7en’s debut, which we won’t reveal yet. but after learning and witnessing it, se7en has potential and our bets are on him, breaking through.  it’s also evident from the video that his english is really improving.

Nice to see the event went well.

I really wanted to go see se7en there, but i really try to avoid circle. the club is nice but the bouncers there are very very mean, like overly mean.  They even chased one of my friends down the street one day and took some of his stuff. I wish kpop stars would go to some other club besides circle.
