Three weeks ago we reported that Rain / Bi would appear on CNN's weekly half-hour chat show Talk Asia and the show has finally aired.
In the interview, Rain's voice was dubbed over as he was speaking in Korean. He seems very articulate and gave a great interview. His new group MBLAQ even makes a brief appearance in the show, check it out below and thanks to JaeJoongFanGirl for the tip.

Just a LITTLE disappointed that he didn’t flaunt more of his English, but yeah, I totally agree that there should be a “cultural exchange” among all countries. But then again, K-pop mimics a lot of American pop (perhaps too much, lol).
I dont get why its dubbed rain can speak english just has an accent but its good enough to understand.
he will never learn English..i think he forgot it already..oh rain..learn some english if you want to be a world famous starXD…LOLZZZZZZZ

Very impressed with this interview and how Bi presented himself! He was very articulate and I think it brought his fans that much closer to him and more appreciation for his dedication to all that he does! Rain Hwaiting~!!!
it was really good interview when i watched it last night, but the schedule was off for cnni, so if i hadn’t gone to check the tv i would have missed recording the show.

Well if you guys watched the whole interview. He does say in formal situations he uses korean to express himself. Why? obviously because in his mother tongue he can express himself best and give the best answers. If he spoke in English his answers would be very limited. Give him time and he’ll be great in English ahhahaha :D

Actually, It doesn’t really matter what language he’s speaking in anyway; although, I hope he does speak in english someday… when he’s ready and knows english a little better.

Great interview. Despite the fame that he has acquired, he seems like quite the humble person. I was glad to hear him speak of his mother and be honest about the guilt he still feels today about potentially letting her down. lol I was surprised he was honest about considering eyelid surgery. He seemed a little reluctant at first to go there. Good interview.

I watched his concert live once, it’s so good, I can see that he put his full effort in everything he wants to do. Every time when I hear about his past before his debut and his relationship with his mum, it made me sad..

im so happy that he spoke korean in his interview because he sounds sexier lol but i agree with him one always express our selves better in our own native language !! after all this was a great interview !! i cant wait to see his movie !! love u rain !!
I am a bit disappointed though that there was really only 1 fan question asked. But that’s not Rain’s fault, and he gave a fantastic interview.
Goog interview he even answer frankly about “his eyes” wich were in the past a real problem to become a singer .
i lol’d at the “no scandal” part… UM YEAH, HYORI BEGS TO DIFFER. hehee.
but yeah. i realized while watching this that i actually do respect rain a lot, even if i cringed watching his english interview for ninja assassin. i was so happy that he spoke in korean for this interview because this way he could actually answer the questions. and about the exchanging cultures thing… TOTAL. AGREEMENT. yes, he is introducing new cultures to korea… what was he, like, international pizza hut spokesperson or something? rofl.
I loved it! He is such a sweetheart! I am counting down the days until NA comes out! Go Rain!

The translator’s voice brings me back to my ESL days when I was learning English.
