Ok Sori Jail

That should teach the bitch a lesson for cheating on her husband Park Chul.

Park Chul pressed charges against Ok Sori for sleeping with another man. The hearing will be held on December 17th, where Ok Sori will receive final judgment and may possibly go to jail for a year and a half if convicted guilty.

Ok Sori however is saying that the situation is extremely unfair and that her cheating is Park Chul's fault. Ok Sori stated that she only had sex with Park Chul about 10 times since their marriage 11 years ago, which in her mind obviously proves that the marriage was dysfunctional. She also stated, that Park Chul would always come home late and drunk after attending room salon's and massage parlors. Hence, "as a woman, it was impossible to not cheat." Unfortunately, Ok Sori has no hard evidence, while Park Chul supposedly has sex photos as well as receipts of gifts that Ok Sori gave to her two lovers.

Impossible to cheat huh? Just like it's impossible for me not laugh at this situation.. haha! Seriously though, Ok Sori is dumb as a rock, with the release of her latest statements, she really does deserve to be locked up, whether it's in jail or a loony bin who knows.

Ppl need to start considering cheating as a sin, or at least view it on a more serious note than now.

this law is stupid as shit
Instead of fixing marriage, it’s only encouraging revenge

I don’t blame her for cheating. I think this article is kinda sad.

korea’s adultery laws are ridiculous
you know the husband was a cheating asshole-(barely any sex in 11 years of marriage… The guy had to be getting it somewhere else… prolly with a man) where’s his jail time?
Government doesn’t have any business in people’s bedrooms.

This woman is possibly going to jail for 2 years for cheating and a grandfather and his brothers get off scott free for raping their mentally disable granddaughter/niece for 7 years in their care?

You stay classy Korea.

Nozomi's avatar

why don’t they go ahead and slap a scarlet ‘A’ on her chest too.  Cheating isn’t the best thing but sex only once a year, that should be a crime.

Her husband should get time in jail too, because he wasn’t handling his husbandly duties.

First: She’s stupid for staying for 10 year with only 10x sex with her husband. She could divorce him.
Second: She have a very weak arguement, it just her words againts him. That means nothing on the court, her husband (as bad as he is) come with a prove: He win.
For you people in the state, stop comparing this situation with US. You’re not living in Korea, the norm and social law are different in each country.
She shouldn’t cheat in the first place, or if she is act smart like her husband did…

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read! She cheated on you? Get a divorce! No need to take it so far! 10 years of marraige for nothing!

So many ignorant idiots on here. First off the MAXIMUM sentence is 1 year 6 months. However, most of the time people don’t even serve jail time when convicted. Mostly people have to pay their debt to society by doing community service. If even given jail time, it’s usually a very short term (few days).

johnnydorama because of you i will never again read allkpop. You are an ingrate. Your mother should have drowned you at birth or someone should have shot her in the vagina. You make me embarrassed to be Korean.

Here are some legal details of the Ok So-Ri’s case. Ok lied to the police investigators that she had no affair with the same man - not just once but three times. This wasn’t even the Italian chef that her former husband found her with together in bed, while they were still married and lived in Tokyo, which caused him to file for a diviorce. For those of you who think it’s a stupid law, well, that’s the law in Korea. I can think of some stupid laws in the West, also, like sodomy being illegal in USA but ignored daily by millions. At least in Korea a woman accused of adultery isn’t stoned, as in a Muslim country. (A raped woman can get stoned, also, in a Muslim country, by the way.)  Also, in practice, Koreans accused of adultery rarely get punished by courts in Korea.

i actually am married already, but thanks for the love mail.

the only ones pissed off about this judgment are the ones who don’t know their place, which is in the kitchen. wink

Stuff like this isn’t supposed to be handled by the government. That’s what divorce is for. The government shouldn’t overstep the boundaries. A law like that won’t do any good. And the government couldn’t possibly catch all the people who are cheating. What about the people who work for the government or people with high authority in business who are cheating? They’re just using her as an example because she’s a public figure. That’s so stupid.

And hell, if you’ve been married for 11 years, only had sex for 10 times, that’s not even once a year. Wouldn’t you cheat? Obviously there’s no love in the relationship. Should have divorced beforehand, I guess.

jst bcos there’s a law written doesnt meant pple should committe it crime.
Her only fault is get caught and wasting 11yr wit a low-class JERK

the judge sentence her to 2yr jail times for adultery while a grandpa rapist + his 2 rapist sons walk free with their crime for raping their own mentally-disorder nieces who’s incapable of taking care of herself and under age.

Johny, u’r an idiot for laughing at her. hope u’ll get cheated one day ahhahahahahaha

If the relationship was dysfunctional, she should have divorced him rather than cheat on him.

Once you’re divorced, have fun. But while you’re married, there’s no excuse.

I find your commentary on the article offensive. As a woman, I believe that she does not deserve to be in the sad situation that she’s in right now. Sure, people can question why didn’t she seek divorce and resorted to adultery instead, but how this escalated to the extent that she’s being sued by her husband, who i might add is also hypocritical in his actions, just reinforces the sexism and patriarchal injustice in Asia.

What kind of a man Park Chul is not having sex with his wife, later lead his wife to adultery because of his uncommitted marriage and obligation. Now prosecuted his wife and gain custody of her daughter and her money! Do you think there is much sympathy towards womern in this world!

I really pity Ok So-ri, she suffered long and silent in painful marriage. Now pay the price due to her husband’s incompetency. The law is meant to protect the women, not in this case.

The judge should have dig deep into the case and search for the main cause of her adultery. It seems to be like a setup by her husband.
