Ok Sori Jail

That should teach the bitch a lesson for cheating on her husband Park Chul.

Park Chul pressed charges against Ok Sori for sleeping with another man. The hearing will be held on December 17th, where Ok Sori will receive final judgment and may possibly go to jail for a year and a half if convicted guilty.

Ok Sori however is saying that the situation is extremely unfair and that her cheating is Park Chul's fault. Ok Sori stated that she only had sex with Park Chul about 10 times since their marriage 11 years ago, which in her mind obviously proves that the marriage was dysfunctional. She also stated, that Park Chul would always come home late and drunk after attending room salon's and massage parlors. Hence, "as a woman, it was impossible to not cheat." Unfortunately, Ok Sori has no hard evidence, while Park Chul supposedly has sex photos as well as receipts of gifts that Ok Sori gave to her two lovers.

Impossible to cheat huh? Just like it's impossible for me not laugh at this situation.. haha! Seriously though, Ok Sori is dumb as a rock, with the release of her latest statements, she really does deserve to be locked up, whether it's in jail or a loony bin who knows.

Cheating is wrong and everything but getting sent to jail for 2 years for it? If it were reported more often freaking jails would be packed. So much for this law being created to help wives, when its them who cheat. If only she had actual evidence.

Guy sounds like a douche though.

How come no one goes to jail in k-dramas when they cheat??
Lol, adultery is a felon in korea.

you’re a fuckin dick!!! to be sent to JAIL for a YEAR and a half because of adultery…are they insane!?!?! i’m not saying it’s okey to cheat, but you’ve gone too far with the artical. people cheat on others ALL the time, and many korean movies promote cheating, but they still have this law?!?! wow damn hypocrites. and yeah, her statement was unneccessary, but her husband, who probably cheated on her, is pressing charges on her. damn, strike it, they’re both stupid.

EmpressPnai80's avatar

WOW! Does such laws really still exist these days? Seems so archaic. If such laws were to excist here in the US we would have a much bigger jail over crowding situation. Dang, having to go to jail for a year for adultery sucks big time. Seems like the dude needs to get over his broken ego. Sorry you got cheated on but to actually send your ex to jail. WOW!

no avatar

that makes sense
i mean you can go to jail for shoplifting or robbing someone’s house, but you don’t go to jail if you broke someone’s heart and took away something that’s worth MUCH more than materiliastic needs?
lock that woman Ok So-Ri (=> Okay sorry! LOL) up.

Geez. 2 years for this?
I mean, sure it’s definitely not good to cheat, but come on.
There are more crimes happening out there!
Plus, this could start a rampage of charges of adultery.
My oh my… I think allpop is a little… over the top calling her a bitch.
Isn’t all this public embarrassment enough torture for her?
Oh well.

bull!
What she does is her own business not the government! They’re trying to make an example out of her, but I know if a man were to do this he wouldn’t get any time!

Her husband sure does have a ego huh. Supposedly getting drunk and out all night and he gets pissed because she cheated? whoever she chooses to get it on with is her business not the gov’t. This is what divorces are for, not the prison system.

Johnny, seems like cheating really pushes your buttons.

Honestly i could see people cheating in her situation.
The husband well is scum, not husband material, goes and gets drunk, and hangs out at massage parlors.

Drunk idiots out all night usually means sex with random people. She should have caught him first and made use of this law.

no avatar

huh? u can go to jail because of adultery?? it’s not entirely her fault anyways…

~Loco_Roco~'s avatar

Omg Korean law seems so harsh! I mean 2 years??? That’s overkill!!!
I bet her husband probably cheated on her before but never got caught *sighs* If you’re heartbroken don’t bring the government into it. Take it like a damn man…jeez.

lack of equality?

ppl who say this should get their facts straight. this law does provide gender equality in prosecuting a crime. if you have enough evidence to support your case when filing a criminal complaint, men AND women can be prosecuted. while many do not bother, others cannot find enough material evidence to support their case, thus it will be thrown out.

dont blame korea, as a country, or the country’s legal system or constitutional court. blame ppl who abuse this law, as a means of taking revenge on their spouse.

maybe ppl should first look at their own country; their laws and constitution, and realise how inadequate it may be. a couple to keep in mind… the death penalty, the right to bear arms etc…

get ur facts straight and then you can make ur stupid comments. why r there so many stupid and ignorant ppl reading this blog?

pffft. or maybe…  a law is used as a deterrent, and may deter ppl from adultery. so maybe that would mean less ppl would cheat…

hmmm think about it!

Getting jailed for cheating? Ludacris (But it is wrong).

MJ's avatar

i don’t get your logic, johnny.

they had sex with each other 10 times in 11 years, for goodness sake… it’s no wonder they *both* went looking elsewhere. except ok sori is the one that got caught (at least with hard evidence against her). she’s merely standing up for herself, are you calling her dumb for that? can you blame her for speaking out? don’t misunderstand me, i don’t condone cheating… i just think they’re both equally at fault, and she shouldn’t have to be the only one paying for it. the guy’s a jerk for pressing charges—if she’s gonna go to jail for cheating on him and getting caught, he should go to jail for being a lousy husband in the first place. and for cheating on her, because even though there isn’t any hard evidence to prove that, we all know he must’ve been getting it elsewhere if he was only sleeping with his wife an average of once a year.

You know…They have the same law in some states in the U.S.
Like Utah and Florida
It’s just that no one really charges a person anymore
It’s a ridiculous law
Matters like these needs to be settled privately

ktotheimee's avatar

okay. so let’s say she deserves to be put in jail…

but the way the title is written disturbs me.. please omit the ‘haha’

travp16's avatar

This is absolutely ridiculous. Now I know that cheating is wrong and all, but this is a matter that needs to be dealt with privately. Bringing the government into matters like this is completely insane. The human heart maybe be more valuable than any material thing, but what right does the governemnt have over the jurisidiction of the human soul? Simply put, the government should not get involved in matters like this. This is what divorce is for.

travp16.. this IS what divorce is for. so she should have got a divorce if she wanted to do this. government intervention exists as it is believed adultery leads to a degeneration of social order… does it not?

why would you want to spend tax dollars on keeping adulterers in jail. dude they’d take over the prisons. adultery is definitely stupid and inexcusable, but come on.

no avatar

OH my goddness. Oh please. The woman brought it upon herself .You live in a freaking country that has a written law stating that consequences of adultery is imprisonment. That woman’s been freaking living there her entire life, thus she should be aware of the laws and consequences to these types of situations, yet she imprudently goes off cheating on her husband .So what if her husband cheated on her ? Does this mean , she got to be as low as her husband and find someone else’s dick to shove it up her freaking ass? If she was a civilized and intelligent woman she would have find some sort of physical evidence to point out what a cheater her husband is. But no she chose to believe since her husbands been neglecting her , she might as well go screw not one but two guys. She got to reflect on herself. Is something causing their marriage to crumble, is it because of the lack of chemistry, her or just that her husbands a freaking horny bastard ?

vietgurlhelen's avatar

what happens in a marriage is between those two people, not the government. cheating is wrong, but other people shouldn’t be judging how wrong it is, leave it to the two people.
the government should spend their energy and money on something a little more important, specifically all the recent deaths and suicides in korea or something. adultery is wrong, but it doesn’t call for 2 years worth of jail time like that

sexist fool!
shoot i would have cheated if my husband was coming home late drunk after attending massage parlors. nobody should have to go to jail for that.

you should really change the way you state your articles.
it could really turn people off.

she does NOT deserve 2 years in jail

jeen's avatar

honestly. there is no reason that this should be made into that big of a deal. he obviously had a grudge or something and made it into a huge big fuss so that she would never be able to perform again. of course she did nothing right, but still. he was way too harsh. he’s basically saying that it isn’t enough just to get a divorce, i don’t want to take the chance of ever meeting you again.

bebetama's avatar

I’m quite shocked by your opinion in this scandal. Sure she messed up, but the fact that you actually wish she will get emprisonned for this mistake disappoint me more than it should. Maybe you missed it but it’s JAIL like with murderers and all that shit.

We all know how you love to brag about being in Hyori’s,Yoobin’s pants but aren’t you married? You’re such an hypocrite.
