Lee Hyori in Tears

Lee Hyori

The princess Lee Hyori, known for her feisty and bright personality, burst out in tears while she was in China. On the 22nd, she arrived at in Shanghai for the filming of a commercial and was met by a mob of ecstatic fans. Trying to avoid all the chaos, she and her staff quickly made their way to the parking lot, only to find that the car they had rented had not yet arrived. The fans started to back her into a corner and began taking pictures. It seems like this was all too much for Hyori because she ended up bursting in tears. Some fans could be heard saying "Unni, are you alright?" and "Stop taking pictures please!" While others, of course, continued to harass her. The ones who did not stop, kept doing so even while the transportation arrived and Hyori was getting in.

Geez, when the fans started to back her into the corner, Hyori should have pulled a Micky Yoochun on their asses and called security.

Apparently Chinese media printed that Hyori was being a "diva" and was rude to her fans, but from what I can see, these fancams show that she looked more scared than annoyed.

It ain’t the fault of the Chinese fans.  They’re acting how most fans around the world would have acted in their situation.  Hell, if I were there, I would have been knocking down old ladies and small children for my one chance to get close to the hottest woman in the world.  And I don’t blame Hyori for reacting the way she did.  It looked like a scary situation.  The real blame lies with the people in charge of her travel plans.  Hyori should fire their azzez.

wow , nice way to treat ur fav. celebs. poor hyori. where’s the security dudes?! geez.

I’ll never understand why people think that situations like this are ok. Who cares if they’re celebrities? People need to have some self control and manners. Seriously, some people are freakin idiots.

Um…this is making me worried about her…if she is under too much stress i suggest she take a break, Korean celebs aren’t doing to well…

insomniac's avatar

also, the fans looked so scary when they were chasing after her. OMG she must be really stressed out.

Well that would get annoying, but that ‘s kind of babyish & bitchy. Suck it up.

Gotta love communism and its fake news. gg china. go genetically grow someone to be something, like you did with yao ming and harass that freak.

Crazy fans are crazy. The “celebrities should suck it up, they signed up for it” comments are bogus. Too bad she couldn’t do anything about it seeing as people would just label her as “rude” or arrogant”. Pft.

I doubt she cried she was just surprised.
I read some of the fan accounts and the reporters were just being all up in her face.
she didn’t cry.

9096's avatar

i don’t understand why some people think that just because she’s a celebrity she should suck it up. she is still a human being and deserves to be treated like one. i don’t believe anyone WOULDN’T be upset if they were backed into a corner by a crowd of people because the car that is supposed to pick them up isn’t there.

RahRah's avatar

Wow.
Those people would have jumped over moving cars if they had to.
I feel bad for her, but that’s the price of fame.

holyshitt. id be fucking scared as fuckk. they sound like their gonna fucking run her over when their supposedly her “fans” -0-;

Typical Chinese media blaming everyone but themselves. I remember how Chinese hooligans rioted and started beating people up in Seoul during the Olympic torch relay. The Chinese media blamed Korea for the incident. Even though the Korean side threw no punches and the Chinese were guests in a foreign country.

Its no wonder why China has such a poor reputation in Korea. They should chill out and learn to accept responsibility. I cant believe they’re blaming Hyori for being mobbed by crazy Chinese fans.

to those who are saying that she should get over it. that it comes with stardom. that it’s no big deal. are you kidding me?? yes, paparazzi and fans are a part of the business, but just because harassment of stars has become more common does not make it any more acceptable or right. that’s like saying that a girl who wears a mini skirt or any other revealing article of clothing and gets sexually abused by someone shouldn’t complain b/c she was basically asking for it right? why dress like that unless she wanted the “attention” right? WRONG. blaming the victim is sometimes even worse. get your priorities straight ppl. the invasion of personal space, lack of respect, and just plain short-sightedness of the fans is just ridiculous. what makes it even more ridiculous is that they continued to pursue her even when it was obvious that she was frightened. why do questions of “boundaries” and respect for privacy become suddenly essential rights to respect when something tragic occurs, like with princess diana and the idiotic paparazzi?? but when it comes to these moments, it’s “nothing.”  frankly, i think some people like to talk big and talk sh*t about a lot of others when they’re comfy and safe behind their computer screen.  grow up and learn some humility. ignorance, people, is not the answer.

Personally, you cant judge by a vid on what happened.

she could have been rude?

who knows

maybe the fans were being abit rude 2 but thats the whole job of being famous. U have to put up with these things.

Micky was out of order. But i cant judge Lee hyori since all she did was stand there.

running after her is too crazy.. i’m her fan but i would have never ran after her like an animal : (... if i was her.. i would have broke down too.. because everyone is like tackling you and you have no where to run to.. i blame the poor service by the drivers >.<” they should have been there before she came out so there wouldn’t be chaos !

If I were to meet a celeb, I think I’d be the shy, reserved type.
Of course, I’d be star struck, but I wouldn’t have the audacity to push a camera up his/her face just to steal a picture.

@ 26 jkoon, your intelligence blows me away.

to the “get over it “people; saying the it comes with being a star is just an excuse to let fans be idiots, and honestly i see a lot more idiotic immature fans than i do stars. And if they just keep ignoring it and letting the fans be this mentally stupid because they’re stars then that’ll just encourage more dead braincells in fangirls & boys.

Aznchicken3's avatar

I don’t know why people are saying to suck it up, cause like being chased around like that and having more than 40 camera’s taking pictures of you every second while your cornered next to a car is crazy scary. Hyori maybe a celeb but she’s human people shouldn’t treat celebs like that. I am kinda surprised that she didn’t pull off what Micky did or act like an American celeb by attack the paparazzi, I kinda don’t blame the fans cause if you can see, alot of the backed off after they saw her looking really sad and annoyed and alot of them were shoving the paparazzi away and telling them to back off. The paparazzi kept asking “please saying something” etc.
Also the reason she didn’t bring alot of security because she didn’t expect her ride to be late and she didn’t know she had soo many fans in china.

People are being flipping gay >.>
The ” chinese ” fans did nothing wrong?
All they did was react like how any other fan would react.

I didnt see no face being shoved up anywhere what so ever.

The blame shouldnt be with the fans, it should be with the people who take care of Lee hyori. Should have gotten better guards?

Just because of one incident people are now dissing chinese people. So annoying >.>

@ Annoyed

Im guesssing your korean aye? Nobody cares about that incident so dont bring it up in a lee hyori news OK?

For the non-Chinese watching this, you guys realize that all the wretched screaming was for everyone yelling to just back off and not bother her right?  There had to have been about 20 voices at any given time simultaneously telling everyone that they need to just stay back.  Hyori’s not a moron…she could tell they were trying to give her her space too.  Of course, that just makes her cry even more but still..

@26

Sad that if a little dipwad jkoon can curse out other Asians, I guess Caucasians don’t have any reason not to either.  You’re a waste of your mother’s good food to set such a piss-poor example.

Everyones cried at least once in their life and so that doesn’t make them a cry baby. Sometimes you’re just put into situations where you can’t control your tears. I’m just glad that Hyori is professional enough to not pull a micky yoochun on these fans.

Nobody cares about that incident? Well I care about it. And apparently you care enough about it to comment on it. The Chinese media is notorious for spinning a story and blaming the other side. Its not even an isolated incident. The Chinese media has again and again shown that they are a bunch of pathological liars. A few months ago a group of Chinese fishermen killed a Korean patrol guard in Korean waters. The Chinese media blamed the Korean police for starting the incident. Even though its illegal to encroach another countries territory.

Chinese fans harassed Changmin of DBSK. In order for the Chinese to save face, they made up a fake story about Changmin punching 2 pregnant Chinese women for no reason.
http://www.chinasmack.com/stories/tvxq-chinese-fan-incident-internet-war/

I have no problems with China as a people. I do have problems with all the lieing done by their media. Its ok for fans to to shout, scream and take pictures. Its not ok to mob her, surround her and chase her when shes obviously scared. Its funny how I mentioned that the Chinese media blaming everyone but themselves. Ironic because thats what youre doing right now. You are no different. You are blaming a third party rather than the crazy fans who were chasing/hunting her down. She was emotionally distressed, yet that didnt stop them from harassing her.

the chinese media called her a diva? Wth?? those ppl..they’re crazy..it’s like hyori’s an animal. They should just back off..she looked terrified.
