Aww… i wanted a nice variety to the show but since there won’t be… does that mean Big Bang will be forced to perform as a group since there aren’t much performers attending? selfishness aside… this award show is off to a bad start… i don’t get all the hostility over it… it’s still MKMF… they just changed the name. what made them decide not to attend it this year when they have the previous years? gosh… this article makes it sound like being a YG fangirl or fanboy is a bad thing…

In any award show, everyone looks forward to the BIG performers. When having a meal, do you look forward to the appetizers or do you look forward to the main course?

Why people are disappointed with MAMA is because already, a few of the BIG performers have bailed out on the show. First it was the trot singers (they always put up an awesome performance). Next it was SM Entertainment i.e. one of the BIG three. And now, we have Lee Hyori, undoubtedly one of the anticipated Big performers.

Sure, having the rookie groups put up a performance is fine, but their performances are NOT the anticipated performances for the night. As mentioned above, it is the BIG PERFORMERS whom everyone looks forward to.

Now we’re left with YG and JYP. For JYP, Wonder Girls are definitely not going to be there and for 2PM, Leadja’s not there. Of course we have 2AM but that also is questionable given Jo Kwon’s recovering status.

So that means we’re left with YG as the MAIN performer out of the BIG THREE. Since the K-Pop world is made up of rabid pre-pubescent teens, the BIG THREE is all that they’re concerned about. As proof, look at above comments. EVERYONE is only looking forward to the IDOLS.

Of course for the long time K-Pop followers, we shouldn’t forget our veteran artists i.e. TigerJK, MC Mong, etc. But given Mnet’s rubbish mindset (i.e. cater to idols so they can get ratings), I wonder if they’re gonna give the veteran artists any air-time to begin with.

yea we seriously need a list of who is going. cuz everyone is like so up in the air now.
