Korean footballers tying the knot with celebrity girlfriends
The year of celebrity marriages in 2009 continues with the announcement today of 2 Korean footballers who will be tying the knot with their celebrity girlfriends on the same day, 12th December. The couples involved are FC Seoul No.9 striker, Jung Jo Gook (25) with host Kim Sung Eun (26) and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma No.8 midfielder Lee Ho (25) with Baby Vox Rev. Yang Eun Ji (25). Their marriages have already been verified by many of their friends and colleagues.
According to an insider from the K-League, "From what I know, in the K-League's off-season, around the middle of December, Jung Jo Gook and Lee Ho will be holding their wedding ceremonies. They have already introduced their other half to their coaches and friends." Close associates of Kim Sung Eun and Yang Eun Ji in the entertainment world expressed, "From what we know, their wedding ceremonies will be held in December as it's the off-season for their grooms. Although the venue hasn't been decided yet, the date is probably on the 12th of December."
Jung Jo Gook and Kim Sung Eun were introduced to each other by former Sugar member, Park Soo Jin (also dating a footballer, Baek Ji Hoon of Suwon Bluewings) and swiftly became a couple. They admitted in March 2009 that they were dating and had attended Shin Ae's wedding last month together. Kim Sung Eun was also the lucky recipient of Shin Ae's bridal bouquet which made the case for wedding even stronger.
On the other hand, Lee Ho and Yang Eun Ji begun dating in 2006 and when the latter held her birthday party last month, the couple had met their respective family members. Shortly after, Yang Eun Ji posted on her Cyworld saying, "It feel like I have to gradually assume more responsiblity and live on because of my friends, family and my boyfriend. I have to live a more fulfiling life for the one who loves me." Her friends have revealed that she hopes to settle down with Lee Ho and be a good wife at home.
Eun Ji's sister, Yang Mira said, "They have been together for almost 4 years and I am happy for her even though she is getting married earlier than me. I wish them a blissful marriage." According to DR Music, "Yang Eun Ji has indeed conveyed her wish to leave Baby Vox Rev. but we can't reveal anything since there are still some things that have yet to be settled on her contract. It's been difficult to contact her recently."
