Kim Tae Woo Didn’t Get Along with a g.o.d member?
For those who aren't familiar with the name, g.o.d (acronym for groove over dose) is recognized as a legendary K-pop group that was formed under JYP Entertainment. The group enjoyed an impressive reign over the music industry during their prime until one of the members, Yoon Kye Sang, left g.o.d in 2004 so as to pursue a career in acting. Since then, g.o.d has been on a lengthy hiatus as a 4-member group with Son Ho Young, Danny Ahn, Park Joon Hyung, and Kim Tae Woo.
During the filming of MBC 'Golden Fishery - Radio Star' on the 21st, Kim Tae Woo cleared up a misunderstanding regarding Yoon Kye Sang and his initial reaction to the loss of a fellow group member.
The vocalist of the popular 90s group revealed, "To be honest, my relationship with Kye Sang hyung was not very good when he resigned from the team at first. However, it is definitely not like that today." The solo singer of "Love Rain" continued, "Kye Sang hyung experienced enough difficulty for himself as he was transitioning from a singer to an actor. He endured all the stress alone."
Even though Yoon Kye Sang is no longer part of g.o.d, Kim Tae Woo expressed that there may be an opportunity in the future where he will be able to work with him again: "Gye Sang hyung promised me that he will act in one of my music videos."
Aww, doesn't that just make your heart all warm and fuzzy?
Band relationships, in particular, are known to be extremely intense, as there is much pressure built up from the individual's hard work, hopes and dreams. However, It's quite a relief that the former g.o.d members are still in close contact with each other. Although groups may break up, the friendships formed through them shouldn't be.
