Kim Hyun Joong to be discharged today

We reported earlier that SS501 leader, Kim Hyun Joong had contracted swine flu while attending promotions for Boys Over Flowers on 6th September, causing him to be quarantined in Japan for treatment and missing the Seoul International Drama Awards 2009 where he was to pick up the Most Popular Actor award.

Some good news for fans of Hyun Joong as it was announced that he is going to be discharged from hospital today.

According to DSP Entertainment on the 15th, Kim Hyun Joong has been cleared by the doctors, without any traces of the H1N1 virus in his body and will be discharged today. In addition, having been cooped in hospital without running around for activities, Hyun Joong is in a very healthy state at the moment, and there should be no problems in resuming his hectic schedule but only if he avoids overworking himself to exhaustion.

Kim Hyun Joong recovering well

Apart from Hyun Joong, a dancer for SS501 had also contracted the H1N1 virus but is now recovering from it. Hyun Joong's Boys Over Flowers co-stars and SS501 members were all cleared after taking tests for the H1N1 virus in Korea.

Hyun Joong will return to Korea on the 16th and check himself into a treatment center in Jeju Island opened by his friend. He will then recuperate until he has fully recovered.

Hyun Joong will resume work in October which includes filming for Tony Moly Skincare, AnyCall, Hotsun Chicken CFs. SS501's new album is also scheduled for October but the release date will be only be confirmed when Hyun Joong is ready to return.

I found this statement very ironic. But still, he needs a break every now and then. He gets sick every so often, I hope he knows when to relax a little. So remember to rest, because your fans don’t want you to suffer for us! Glad the others are okay, too. Keep staying healthy!
