Singer Kim Dong Ryul is coming back on January 25th with a new album entitled, "Monologue." It's been four years since his last album, and he's been working hard on the new one. He traveled to America to cooperate with famous artists such as Linkin Park, Eminem, Sum 41, and other top musicians. World Renowned mastering engineer, Brian Gardner (aka Big Bass Brian) whom also worked with the likes of 2Pac, 50 Cent, Barry White, Beastie Boys, Eminem, Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, JAY-Z, and a lot of others also helped in the production of the album. Mainly working his magic to enhance the overall sound quality. Instead of trying to come out with a new sound, Kim said he just wanted to create good popular songs (good idea - maximized audience for maximized profits). Even though the album isn't released, Initial feedback has been good. Testing the album on various age groups, ranging from people in their 20s - 30s, a good majority of the people said to have liked the music.

He better hope his music is good, because he won't win any fans over with his looks (besides maybe the nerd fanbase who like Tablo & Bae Yong Joon). But if he's collaborating with American artists such as Linkin Park then his music should have some mass appeal. But I wonder how he had those connections to hookup with the likes of Linkin Park, Eminem, and the others in the first place? Considering he seems to be a relative no name... Well, at least I never heard of this guy. I will admit however that having collaborations with Linkin Park have peeked my interest somewhat.
