The Jonas Brothers are pretty much the most manufactured American musical ensemble in recent memory, and my friends usually classify them as talentless hacks that are able to get by in the music charts due to the marketing power of Disney.  This is further propagated by their inability to produce music that caters to adults, unlike the previous generation of boy bands like the Backstreet Boys or NSync (whom are okay in my book).  But after their skit performance on SNL awhile back and their comments on WG, I guess they get a pass on douchery…for now.

well yeah, but you know, american music is the peak of world music. if you want to be known worldwide and be on top of the game, the target has to be america. even uk artists aren’t known to some people, while the us is marketed globally… and kpop only appeals to a certain mass, while english songs catch even wider audience since it is a universal language and most people speak english.

having said so, it doesn’t feel the same, i have to agree. i fell in love with the girls through their KPOP songs, not otherwise. but what do you mean by ‘american feel’? if you see the kpop now, it’s heavily americanized/westernized. wonder girls are no different.

and people, i’m pretty sure what kevin said was more of a joke than not, don’t take this whole ‘take over the world’ too seriously. geez.
