Jang Dong Gun Poses for Cosmopolitan Korea
Actor Jang Dong Gun, who has recently gained the title of "Kkotminam President" from the role he played in his latest movie, has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan Korea this month alongside the girls of f(x). As you all may know, Jang Dong Gun has made a comeback to the acting scene this month with his movie Good Morning President, where he plays the role of a handsome young president. Cosmo asked him a few questions regarding the movie and about his role as the president of Korea.
Regarding his movie, Jang Dong Gun said, "Since this is my first time acting after a four-year hiatus, I had a few selfish thoughts like, 'It'd be nice to work on an extravagant project or something.' But I knew that once I started working on this movie, it wasn't going to be one of those typical blockbuster hits. But I soon started to consider this an advantage instead of a disadvantage; that's how much I started to enjoy my work! This movie was really a pleasure to film and it was lots of fun for me."
Cosmo also asked him, "What would you do if you were really the president of Korea?" to which he responded, "I'd be interested on resolving the screen quota issue." For those of you who don't know about this, there is a system in Korean theaters called the "screen quota" in which domestic films have to have a certain amount of screen time. This system has created a conflict between the Korean movie industry and foreign movie industries - so it isn't all too surprising that Jang Dong Gun would be interested in resolving this issue, with him being an actor and all.
