How Much Does Yoo Jae Suk and Park Myung Soo Earn?
One of Korea's best MC's Yoo Jae Suk's total earnings from last year were revealed. Not only that, his one and only sidekick, Park Myung Soo's income was also revealed.
On the 11th, MBC's Broadcasting Cultural Promotion Foundation opened to the public how much Yoo Jae Suk made just from his MBC shows. From being on Infinity Challenge, Come to Play, etc. he made $943,600 last year.
From MBC, Yoo Jae Suk made $922,000.00 in 2007 and in 2006, he made $865,000.00. He sure took a leap in just two years.
Because of his SBS and KBS2 shows, his expected salary is much higher than just his MBC one.
Park Myung Soo made $840,000 last year. Not too shabby either. Other people such as Lee Hwi Jae made $570,000, Kim Won Hee made $543,000, and Kim Gura made $530,000.
KBS also revealed how much they have paid each for show and celebrity. Gag Concert was announced as the show with the highest profits. SBS has not yet revealed their statistics.
To me, this is a lot of money. But if we compare them to American celebrities, that's not much. I know the size of the market is completely different so it makes sense. But this makes me wonder how little those idol groups must make? I mean even the most famous idol group, TVXQ/DBSK has filed a complaint about their contract, I can only guess how little the other thousands of groups make.
