Harisu Says No to Sucide

With the recent suicide of former President Roh Moo Hyun, Korea's most famous transgender celebrity, Harisu, has reached out to prevent suicides among transgender talents. Harisu said "I wish that there will be no more transgender suicides" and opened a transgenger club.

On the 13th, 'Mix-Trans Club' was established. Recently, there were two up and coming transgender entertainers, one known as the "Harisu Part 2," Jang Chae Won, and another up and comer who had a 'coming out' and received such severe backlash, Kim Jihoo, both committed suicide. Harisu said, "My heart was broken upon hearing the news of the suicides of my friends and colleagues. I wanted to make a beautiful place for people to come together after coming out and suffering the same pain."

So far Harisu's collected a small group of 20 members to create the 'Mix Trans' performance group.

It's a very nice thing Harisu is doing for the twenty some people in the biz... but who will do anything about for the former presidents and other straight, one-gender celebs? Where is their club?

Go Harisu!
Someone really needs to stick up for the people that are committing suicide..
Regardless if that someone is transgender or whatever, at least someone is doing it!
Who knows, maybe someone thats…in what ppl consider “normal” will take note of this woman’s kinda heart and do the same for others.
—I think Harisu is one of the prettiest women in korea lol.

i’m also a proud transgender ! What she is doing to amazing
Rather you agree with transgender or not. Why would you wish for someones death or for not even care if they died? thats so unhumane we are all humans living life.
We should all help eachother and live lives we want and follow our dreams
to all you haters out there thanks for making me stronger, your mean insacure discrimination hurtful words make me stronger i have had to learn that so much, everyday i’m a little stronger and i hope to be like harisu someday i’m proud to say i’m transgender!

Oh my god, my eyes are hurting by the hateful comments here. Love to the people who are supporting this Harisu for what she’s doing and done. I have no idea who Harisu is, but I think she’s doing fine by opening a club.

There shouldn’t be any comments as “A trans club? wow, then where is the straight club or homo club? selfish.” That’s just lol. Because it would be the same as saying “are you giving money to the poor? wow, then where is the money to the orphanages? selfish.” Get it?

She is not Superwoman or something. Heyy, just because she is doing one thing doesn’t mean she is selfish now for not doing this or that for the other people. It is good as long as she is doing something and caring, compared to most haters here who probably done zero to help others.

I myself am straight, I have a friend who is transgender and bisexual and others who are bisexual and I can say that they have opened my eyes. Everything new is new in the beginning and unfamiliar and strange, but as you get closer to it, it will become more natural and normal and you’ll come to understand and realize. Though, I have never been a hater myself, but I can bet on that all haters on trans, bi, homos, are people who have never been in contact with people with such sexual orientation and have zero experience. For you, it is still unfamiliar, therefore no wonder you are hating.

It hurts reading hateful comments, my friends went through hard times. I wish that the haters here will someday encounter people with other orientation than straight and come to realize that they, also, are just humans. They were just a tad bit unlucky and were born with the wrong body.

And also, remember this. There are not only trans, bis and homos, there are also people who just feel as nothing or both. There are several alternatives.

If you want to be respected, then respect others. Don’t call this Harisu a “he”, when she clearly wants to be named as she. Also, commenting things as “wow, she was once a man before…” doesn’t make any sense, because most trans have always been their inner gender. That is, Harisu has probably always been a she, always a woman, it is just that she made her surgery-change later to really become a woman, both in and out. So she has never been a man to begin with.

OK? Thanks. Even if it became quite long.
