Girls’ Generation Tae Yeon is a Water Fountain

The nine girls of Girls' Generation (a.k.a. So Nyuh Shi Dae) have been known to have a charming innocence to their appeal. Since their debut, they've won the hearts of many with their bubble gum music and surprising vocals - all while looking like angels - but not acting like them.
Popular show, Mnet School of Rock, broadcasted their special on April 1st and featured the girls once again. On their first special, the show made sure they rocked the girls with a cruel prank. This time, leader Kim Tae Yeon, was to be pranked at her very own school; JoonJu Arts School where producers made sure to invite all her peers.
"I am very happy to have a performance for my wonderful peers," Tae Yeon said before expecting her cheers. Expect the unexpected; no one cheered for the leader while her eight juniors' cheers could be heard all over. When she realized what was happening, her eyes welled up with tears, and she was unable to hide her sadness. Due to her tears at the happy show, the recording stopped but the hidden cameras didn't!
Hidden cameras were able to catch her tears behind the stage. Once they got back on, the host asked the students to cheer for Tae Yeon but she received half-assed replies. Moments later, a banner with Kim Tae Yeon's name on it fell along with more of her tears.

That was actually… really mean. I’m not a fan of her, but I still think it was kind of harsh.
As a performer, you’re fueled by attention. If you don’t get it after working for it and being used to it, of course it will hit hard.
If I was in that kind of situation, I would have cried also… though, then again, i’d probably try to make it not so obvious…

that’s really mean but hey it WAS just a prank right so it’s not like it was the real thing or it would be even WORSE for my Taeyeon nuna.

I thought that was a pretty bad one… But she held up pretty nicely on stage while everyone was cheering for the other members. You could definitely tell that she knew she was getting absolutely no cheers and was looking quite lost. I would have reacted the same way: shocked/dumbfounded/hurt/lost/teary eyed. And that banner at the end definitely would have made me cry.

that should be a new show…what can we do to make a young girl cry…
pranked at her own school, in front of students, teachers, etc…she’ll probably be ridiculed for a long time after…way to destroy a person’s rep at school…
i’d be pissed if the bandmates knew all about the prank and did nothing…with friends who help set you up for public humiliation, who needs enemies…start secretly working on a solo album…
