I liked both peformances. I still like the Wonder Girls more than Girls Generation though

kissing u wasn’t really a good choice to sing, but then again wondergirls probably wanted to sing a cutesy song for once LOL

When was the last time you guys heard a decent live performance of ‘Tell Me’ before SNSD sang it? I love how Taeyeon and Jessica were able to hit all the high notes Sunye and Yeeun couldn’t do 95% of the time.

they made “tell me” bearable.

TAEYEON killed sunye’s parts, SUNNY sounded awful. AND seohyun definitely did a better and cuter job than sohee. For wonder girls, you can hear the background voices of the SNSD’S verison of kissing you.

SNSD was definitely better. I think Sunny can sing, but her voice is so high so it made it unbearable for most people to hear. Hyo Yeon’s part was cool, and I’ll give credit to Yuri for rapping because she’s not really trained to do that (rapping isn’t easy). Tiffany came in late at the very beginning but she gradually got better.
Now for WG:
I think they did okay. It was weird to see them wearing cutesy stuff lol Ye Eun was on point. Sun Ye was good too but she shouldn’t attempt high notes. Ever. Once again, So Hee was “talking” lol. It was good overall but they should have performed longer. I can see Yoobin’s throat got better hahaha

wg did decent. they couldnt hit all the notes but i must say i though they were cute in those outfits.

snsd did amazing. you know, ive browsed through SO many ‘tell me’ performances by the wonder girls in the past trying to find one that i thought was performed with good vocals throughout and couldnt find a single one.

though i only thought tiffanys vocals were so-so. sunny wasnt as great either but i seriously though she was purposely trying to sing like sohee. (regardless she still sang better than sohee so i cant complain much)

usually i agree with you but WG did better then what they usually did, and i was impressed with the performance, considering ive been disappointed in most of their performances. So i enjoyed it, it was about having fun and they did. And you could at times hear power behind it especially with Ye Eun, i think just more vocal training is needed. They should do what Boa does sing while running on a treadmill.

GG also did a good job and i give credit when its credit is due, but honestly it was SEOHYUN who rocked that performance, if she wasnt there then it would have been medicore. I think she owned everyone on stage and she proofed she has one of the best voices in GG. As well it was surprising to see her so different considering she is timid and shy half of the time. I commend her on her great job, she rocked it.

I don’t care about any of their singing, I just want to have my way with Soo Young ;o

What? I thought Wonder Girls did way better than those Hoes…WTF is wrong with Tiffany’s eyes? Was she on crack, it kept on tweekin…Sohee was actually bearable to listen to and Yoobin actually sang…

Overall I thought SNSD did a good job, but Sunny’s part was horrible o_O.  SNSD has stronger vocals than Wonder Girls, but their songs are so cute it’s annoying.  I thought the Wonder Girls’ version of Kissing You was slightly more bearable.

WG just sang on the background music that had SNSD’s voice on it. and WG can’t take high notes. “Kissing You” is a good choice for WG. It would be a shame, if they chose “Into the new world”.

Lets just say that this is the first time in a LONG time since I heard a great performance of Tell Me vocal-wise.
i am not a fan of SNSD and WG. but if you aren’t a tone deaf,you can see who is way better job. Now that I’ve heard the two groups sing each others songs, it makes the difference in vocal ability of the groups a lot more obvious to me. from vocal-wise point of view, snsd is definitely better.
and i agree tokio’s comment. i am so surprsied SEOHYUN’s voices are so clear and strong.

Tiffany was winking and making the performance cute, and she did a damn fine job at it.  Sunny was trying to sound cute like Sohee and because she’s the better singer, I’ll say she nailed it.  Yuri and Hyoyeon can rap just as good as Yoobin.  Seohyun, Jessica and Taeyeon’s voices were spot on.  All of them were great in the performance.

I alwys liked both bands and didnt really hv a clue who i liked better but looking at the 2 performances, id say both Groups r very Talented but SNSD have a slighty edge on vocals and r better live then WG.

Cuz wen Wonder girls Sing, its like ekkk they seem to go out of chune alot and for once ive actly heard the song “ Tell me “ witot much screeching.

They did do ok in the Kising you, but the people who said they did a better job then SNSD really need to get their ears tested. Id say SNSD did better.

agree @ abc…“Tell Me” was a really annoying song for me…,aybe because WG girls can’t really sing?! idk…why but when SNSD sang it, it was entertaining…
WG, it was fun watching them…their make up wasn’t as heavy as what they’re used to so I think they looked all innocent…ahaha…I just found it really entertaining…
but SNSD killed WG…they sang “Tell Me” better than them but WG didn’t give as much impression to me when they sang “Kissing You”

^agreed w/ kchan21i know sunny’s voice isn’t like that judging from her singing on radio programs. she was trying to sound like sohee. tiffany was so-so. jess, tae yeon, and seohyun did excellent!! and of course yuri and hyo yeon gets credit for doing a very decent job at rapping yoobin’s part even though they’re not rappers.

they both did well, i thought. but SNSD came out just a little better…

The fact that Sohee kicked ass in KY just goes to show that she has some sort of vocal talent - and that SNSD songs really are that easy to sing and meant to be performed by those who are of inferior vocal ability~

i agree that snsd is probably overall more vocally talented (and really gorgeous)
(although ye eun and sunye are AMAZING)
but honestly most of them give off a very fake, manufactured vibe to me.
i just feel like wondergirls are more natural

i must say, when yuri’s rap part came, and the way she swayed her body to the “tell me tell me” is so cute.

Tell Me didn’t start out being annoying, it gets annoying after 2829389328000 plays, ALL THE TIME! It’s the same with So Hot right now. How long do these girls have to promote it?

Both group are okay when they stay in their territory, singing cutesy songs and stay off the high notes.

jyp really thinks hes master of the universe, eh? but i guess he forgot that not all of us are deaf =], after last night, snsd is clearly the more vocally talented group
but props to WG, kissing you for surprisingly good by WG’s usual standards

Not a fan of these two groups, but I like some of their songs. I never did liked Tell Me, and I always thought that JYP should have given WG songs that could showcase their vocals better. But after watching SNSD perform it and showcase their own singing in that same song, i only came to the conclusion that it wasn’t the song that was bothersome, it was WG’s vocals. I thought KY suited WG’s singing better, especially Sohee’s, and I thought Sunmi was especially cute in KY. Ye Eun was great in singing. I loved SNSD’s performance. I found myself actually enjoying a Tell Me performance. I don’t know all of the girls’ names, but that one girl who sang in the middle was so-so. Other than that, I really liked their performance.

I have to disagree, for SNSD’s performance the only person I found with incredible vocals were TaeYeon’s. Everyone else could not match the charisma and high energy WG puts up on stage. Plus WG is natural at looking good on stage without all the winking and facial expressions SNSD always has to do. AND THEIR OHMANA SUCKKKED!

Wg’s performance wasn’t that amazing either only because I wish they were louder. But overall it was alrightt. And their bodies were killer in those outfits.

But finally someone who isn’t deaf! Thank you allkpop for noticing that SNSD did better. I thought everyone was going insane because some sites were saying that wonder girls did better. some were saying that wg’s rocked it and that they got every note. if you think the same way, check your ears.

but on the other hand snsd also didn’t get all their notes: sunny. but sunny did better than sohee could ever.

so in conclusion, snsd did better. i still like both groups but i still cant stand sohee

Sohee did well for Kiss You, just because her line was easy.  The 1st half of WG’s kissing you was decent. But in the 2nd half that need some vocal skills, no WG girls can get high notes or decent smooth voices. LOL
SNSD can centainly sing Tell Me at ease.  I’m not SNSD’s fan.  I think all fake smile in Tell Me is because SNSD’s girls are surprise how easy this song to sing this song and yet WG can’t do it well.

Sunye or Ye Eun didn’t hit it right.

this was the first Girls Generation performance i was able to watch all the way thru, but it was becuase i like the Tell Me song.

i believe that this special performance in MusicBank was mainly focused on SNSD because of what happen DreamConcert and wanted to have like a strong comeback…WonderGirls did their SoHot then Kissing You while SNSD performed BabyBaby,Girls Generation then TellMe….WonderGirls and SNSD have different styles(WG new clothing styles everytime SNSD same cuteness style)

okay…....... so i think SNSD did a good job at singing. but their voices are so high that i was about to slap em. was something wrong with their eyes? weird. anyways i think wonder girls did a way better job. i agree with GEMEINAI that they were trying to focus on SNSD. they got suuuuuper many antifans. how sad

Tbh everyone is getting worked up over who sang better but at the end of the day they are just eye candy like 90% of korean ‘musicians’.
