G-Dragon goes Bohemian, performing with W-inds on Music Japan

During Big Bang's press conference yesterday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, it wasn't much of a surprise about their plans of expanding into the Japanese market. What was surprising, however, was G-Dragon's new Bohemian styled hair. Well, maybe it shouldn't be too surprising considering that G-Dragon isn't too shy when it comes to trying out new eccentric hairstyles. How do you think it looks?

As for the press conference, Big Bang went through the basic motions and said thanked their fans (more than 500 people waited for them at the airport). They also said they would love to one day perform at the NHK Red & White Songfest (where BoA and TVXQ have previously performed on this prestigious stage in Japan). They also said that they're excited to work with Universal Records and announced that the official date of their "My Heaven" single album will be June 24th.

G-Dragon is also scheduled to perform "Rain is Fallin" with W-inds on May 17th's Music Japan show. On last week's Music Japan, "Rain is Fallin" held the number one spot for the week:

Looks like Big Bang is starting to do some Big things in Japan. I think they can be popular in Japan with the right moves, but they would probably need to change their musical style a bit. I wish them the best of luck.

I hate big bang.
i don’t know how they are going to make is big, if they can’t even speak japanese.
This just shows that they think they can make it big without learning the countries language.
I hope they have a big fail and never succeed in the japanese industry :D

Wow… for a first day sales, w-inds kinda drop from their usual sales number. only 9k?? it’s considered to be low… Come on Pony Canyon, let Keita sing in his tune, don’t give him two higher key to sing too…. And while you are at it, give LEAD the light that they deserves too

Actually, that 9,504 is their 2nd day’s sales. W-inds’ first day sales was 19,654 so right now their total is 29,158 for two days.

It’s second day on this weekly oricon chart They sold 19k copies on the first day but only got 2nd spot below Momusu. Aww good luck to W-inds, I really like some of their songs. I saw their budokan (?) concert and Keita’s voice is quite good. Too bad the other 2 members only act as background vocals and dancer… But I’m quite surprised with W-inds sales, I tought atleat they can sell around 100k for their singles regulary.

Good luck for BB too, japanese music market is very big and as long their music can suits Japanese taste, they’ll doing fine there.
