Epik High’s Tablo going solo: Sorry Mithra and Tukutz

Tablo has always been the center of attention aside from his fellow Epik High members, Mithra Jin and DJ Tukutz. Obviously, that attention wasn't enough because he has decided to become (try) a soloist. He apologized to his members and told fans to keep an eye out for every members' solo activities.

Tablo took the first step as a solo artist by working with producer Pe2ny, and creating their own project group called "Eternal Morning." Their album, titled "Soundtrack to a Lost Film," is a hip-hop instrumental that was released yesterday on December 3rd, 2007. Because there aren't any lyrics, each track seems like a scene in a movie. Each track's mood and sound are like different movie genres.

During the showcase for their album, Tablo was asked if he had anything to say to his members for pursuing a solo career, he said that he was sorry to his members. "The two are very understanding of the whole situation," and thanked them both. He also said that the DJ Tukutz and Mithra Jin are going to continue their activities by themselves. "All of us were able to show our talents as musicians, but the two members are going to take advantage of this opportunity to show fans a different, non-musical side of themselves." Tablo also added that if the two learn newer and better things, that he wouldn't mind if they worked with other people. "All I ask for, is that when Epik High decides to return as a group, that we will be able to return as a stronger group."

Near the end of the showcase, a comment was made about this album, "Soundtrack to a Lost Film," didn't have any popularity or fans. Tablo answered by saying that Epik High didn't have "fans" but people that just loved the music. "I feel that the same thing will happen with Eternal Morning, and I hope that people will try out this new type of music."

Tablo was supposed to have his solo album released earlier this year, but it has been pushed back to next year. Hopefully there won't be anymore setbacks, and we'll be hearing from him soon.
