Epik High has been talking about disbanding for a long time, but let’s face it - if they’re making money, they’re not going to quit. Probably another publicity stunt, but I love them anyway. <3

seriously… I don’t know if people posting about “first” and “second” are really teenagers or just adults being very immature, and I understand the freedom of speech…...
But seriously, this place is for media news, and if your inner fangirl/boy has to be the “first” at something like a post time, then, I know this sounds rude, but really, be first at something in real life.
It is immature that I am writing about this, but I really am annoyed by the “first” and “second” meaningless post.

and also, if Epik High breaks up…-_-...... I don’t know, a lot of good bands are going apart, clazzaqui is another one…. “sigh”.......0-0

I feel like they’re waving threats of disbandment in front of their fans’ faces to get more people to buy their CDs. Wasn’t Tablo bitchin earlier this year about the illegal downloading and asking people to buy their albums?

Well, if he wants to focus on being more of an artist, he cans start releasing music in the states. think about it, it would be like he’s starting all over again (underground music)

As long Big Bang and Shinee ain’t talking like this, then I’m fine. Naw I’m lying, thinking about Epik high disbanding is depressing, since they are that famous in Korea, why don’t they just come to America and start over, they’ll be more than welcomed!!!!

With each new album release, there is always talk about Epik High’s disbandment and it’s getting tiresome

It sounds kind of hypocritical of him… He appeared on a lot of variety shows (X-Man, Star Golden Bell, Heroine 6, etc) and he had somewhat a comedic role when appearing on those shows.. He also acted on NonStop5 before (again, with a comedic role).. And he even had a radio show with JoJungLin.. Isn’t it a bit inappropriate for him to talk about “ideals of a true musician”?

They’re going to cry wolf one too many times.  Tablo sometimes reminds me of the asian Kanye West, always complaining about stuff.

But coming to america would be a great idea, they could reinvent their image.

kriza09, most of his appearances on shows like that are arranged by his management company, not him personally. additionally, the image of him that is projected in many shows don’t necessarily accurately reflect his true self. this is something alot of people seem to never realize…

i hope they break up. their music is becoming way too “pop”-y and always has the same damn depressing romantic undertones. i’d definitely like to see tablo create music in the same avenue as the stuff he did with p2nny or whatever.. that shit was alright but epik high’s albums are becoming way too much of the same recycled shit

y not just release music then… give the profits to charity and don’t advertise. we just want good music!

I guess they WOULD have more freedom if they were to create their own music without worrying about the audience and promo. I would still support if they did.

Pffff. Tablo knew what he was getting into.  The reason he went onto variety shows and the such is to sell his album. And now people are buying his albums, he threatens to quit?

Even if this is just a rumor, I still wish that they wouldn’t bring it up. ):
Epik High can’t disband. They are one of the best hip-hop artists ever.

It’s true that they’ve mentioned it many times, but it was their purpose and they could disband.  Everyone’s got limits.  That would really suck, but I think they should still work together, just also do other work.  I love their music.  But since day one, they’ve greatly changed.  I like the school hip hop more.  It was real, not like today’s world.

highly doubt that they’ll disband, but yeah, i was quite disappointed with their songs from the “one” album cause it sounded too pop-ish like big bang and i have to admit that their original style drifted away a lot, but epik high is still epic!!!

I wanna see Tukutz do some solo production/writing. He’s definitely one of the most overlooked and talented musicians in Korea.

In other words…they don’t want to be mainstream? I guess I’ll try to support whatever they decide to do.
BUT! if they do disband it’ll be a big bummer.

You know, as much as I love Tablo and Tukutz and Mithra as individual artists and adore Epik High as a whole, I am SO SICK of this disbandment bullshit. If Tablo and Co. (but mostly Tablo, since he seems to the one whining so much) can’t take being a K-pop star, then they need to quit already. As much as I don’t want Epik High to disappear—they’re one of the VERY few groups in the K-pop scene with actual talent and originality—if the guys are unhappy with rising in fame (which…makes no sense…), then they should stop bitching and get the fuck out already, because there are plenty of young trainees/musicians/performers/etc. who would KILL (at the very least) to be in Epik High’s shoes.

And really, Tablo, who says you can’t be a “true musician” and be famous in the K-pop scene? I’m not really feeling your pretentious ideas about what makes an actual musician legit. It’s just so disappointing. D:
