Epik High’s DJ Tukutz Is Getting Married?
Epik High has been abuzz this past month in the media with the release of their 6th full length album, as well as the engagement of Tablo and girlfriend (now fiance) Kang Hye Jung and even a future message to their child from Tablo.
It has now been made known that Epik High has another member set for marriage, and he's going to beat Tablo to the punch!
Yahoo Korea recently reported that DJ Tukutz, real name Kim Jung Sik (28), will be getting married, to an undisclosed female who's two years older than him on, October 13th. He revealed this on Epik High's official site mapthesoul and also stated that he will be enlisting for his military service on October 15th, which is mandatory for Korea-born males.
Here's what he wrote:
"I'd like to tell you the happiest news of my life. I will finally get to make my "Stand By Me" promise with my first love whom I've known for 10 years. Even if people may see this as an inconvenience (to my fiance), I've decided to make a lifelong promise to the girl I love. I, Kim Jun Sik, am getting married."
Star News had a telephone interview with representatives of Epik High who stated that DJ Tukutz military service request came all of a sudden, which is the reason that the two will be rushing the marriage. Originally, their plan was to get married after Tablo and Kang Hye Jung did, but because of the notice of sudden military service, it looks like Tukutz will be walking down the aisle first.
The only Epik High member left to break any wedding news is Mithra Jin, who's already rumored to be in a relationship. But I'm sure that if this 'epik' trend continues, he should be getting married in no time.
With the sudden military service and Tukutz going away for two years, what's to become of Epik High? Hopefully they can somehow continue to make great music even while Tukutz is away.
