Epik High does Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate
Epik High was on Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate the other night, and like usual, they put on a stellar performance. In my opinion, I think Epik High is the best group in the Korean music industry today and they proved that fact once again with their performance on KJE’s Chocolate.

I loved the old school mix the best. Epik High is more like an old school hip hop group in that their lyrics are thought provoking and brilliantly written. You don’t get that too often these days with American hip hop and when someone like that does come along they don’t get that much radio play.
Epik High also recently did a photo shoot for the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea. I’m not sure if Mithra was trying to be funny or not with the getup he’s wearing in the second pick but either way I thought his outfit was hilarious.

overrated implies that something is given way too much credit than it deserves—which is NOT the case for epik high!
they have consistently produced creative, unique tracks that have been absent in the korean music scene for too long. given, there are tons of unnoticed artists who may have a similar vibe, but epik high is the group that brought it back to the industry. they get so much credit because they truly deserve it. people may not like some of their songs because it’s not the “pop” feel that they’re so used to (ie. epik high started getting popular because ‘fly’ was more kpoppy)—but LISTEN to the lyrics and you’ll see why epik high is so favored and popular. they write these songs with their hearts and the fans can feel it.
