Epik High and FM in the House of Blues!
It's been a crazy two days this weekend! The historical House of Blues in Los Angeles was crazy packed! The line was so long it was noticeable right off Sunset.
FarEast Movement opened the night with a space themed performance in space suits and helmets. Their hit song "Girls on the Dance Floor" definitely got a lot of people moving.
Epik High had a lot of energy and drove the fans wild with a complete set of their hit songs and new ones from their album Map the Soul, like 'Free Music' and of course, 'Map the Soul.' Tablo made a personal message to fans and dropped a couple f-bombs along the way. To cool the audience on fire, he sprayed several bottles of water into the audience, much to their delight. Actually, it was a good thing, as girls were coming out of the pit, drenched in sweat and half collapsed in exhaustion.
The encore set ended with 'Fan' with their friends Kero One and MYK and brought the entire house down. At the end of the night, every person was more than satisfied with their earfuls of Epik High.
The next day, allkpop was at the press conference for Epik High at the Verizon Store in Pasadena.
We were led down into a dark and scary underground basement. Tablo made all of us sit down on the floor, "college orientation-style" and watched Epik High eat their lunch of Pizza Hut pizzas and Red Bull. To cure their hangover from the night before partying with FarEast Movement at Area, they answered a couple of questions for about 8 minutes.
Tablo definitely has a sense of humor and answered that Jessica Simpson was one of his influences for music. But more seriously Dilated Peoples, Radiohead... Jonas Brothers. Epik High continued to sign autographs for the dedicated fans who sweltered in the hot Californian sun.
