Hwanhee prays to his mother, Choi Jin Shil
It has already been a year since Choi Jin Shil has passed away, and her son HwanHee has revealed his feelings regarding his mother's death.
It was almost too surreal to believe that actress Choi Jin Shil had committed suicide. Her hit drama, My Life's Last Scandal had ended and its sequel were in the works. She was an inspiring actress to her fellow actors/actresses and fans, and was loved by many as one of Korea's well known actors. Although her life seemed perfect on the outside, as an A-list actress, apparently there were more behind those smiles.
On KBS's Entertainment Tonight (YunYeGa), fans were able to witness Choi Jin Shil's one year anniversary since her death last October. Through this, fans were also able to see Choi Jin Shil's son, HwanHee, praying to his mother.
During the ceremony, many were able to see how close her two children were with each other, due to their one year age difference. Onlookers were touched with how her son (HwanHee) and her daughter (JoonHee) were looking after one another.
After the ceremony, HwanHee revealed, "I prayed to my mom to thank her for raising me. It was nice to see my mom after all this time."
Choi Jin Shil's mother stated, "I really miss my daughter. I'm thankful that a lot of her friends showed up despite their busy schedules."
"I'm thankful towards everyone has who cared, grieved, and prayed during the year. I will forever stand behind HwanHee and JoonHee and try to fulfill any motherly duties that their mother won't be able to do." Her best friend Lee Young Ja continued, "I thought I would be able to forget this after awhile, but I'm in more grief as time goes on."
It has already been an year, but family, friends, and fans are still mourning her death. This just shows what an impact Choi Jin Shil had for many people, and it's a shame she had to leave the way that she did. She's someone that will terribly be missed, even in the long-run. Although it's a shame that such a talented actress is no longer physically with us, it's a bigger shame for what her family has to endure. Her kids were what worried me the most, upon hearing about her death, and I'm sure many felt the same way. However, I'm glad that her son is strong enough to endure all this and is actually able to stay positive. Hwaiting to her family, friends, and fans!
